when will the PC version be out?

I am only hearing about the PS2 version.....does anyone know when the PC version will be out

well, eidos says this weekend for ps2 and pc.

Not exactly we say "Lara will be in stores this weekend!" Which is to say, PS2 will be. However, the PC date is later.

I've also received the email notification. Apparently, because the emphasis is put on Lara's debut on the PS2 (after all, this is the first TR game /or should I say, Lara Croft game?/ on this platform), the PC version is mentioned only in the last sentence: "The PlayStation 2 and the PC will never be the same."

Anyway, I'm glad that the wait is over at last.

I've never understood this! Playstation is always taking the lead against PC, but nevertheless games on the PC are always looking a lot better than they do on Playstation! IMHO, the ultimate Tomb Raider-game is on PC as you have the best graphics there and you can enjoy the game almost like a movie! :D

btw: I do have a PS2, but I was soo disappointed with the graphics that I only use it now for playing DVD's! :p

Graphics have nothing to do with a game (story and gameplay are more important). Also the Ps2 is a really good system, so it isn't as powerful as a Pc, but so what? I know I have enjoyed many more games on console than Pc's. Yes you are right, TR looks best on Pc, but I think more people know her as a console character than a Pc character. BTW you only use your PS2 as a DVD Player? If you did not like the graphics why in the world did you buy it lol? :rolleyes: :D

I preordered AOD from Amazon.com ( the PC version ), and they aren't shipping their's till the 22nd. That kind of ticked me off, but i guess i can wait. No biggy. Not the end of the world.

TpmbRaider was originally a PC game not a PS or PS2 game. Hence it will always be in my heart a PC game. Plus you can patch a PC game unlike the PS/PS2

Not to mention the sound and graphic Superiority of th PC.

I know the PS2 apparently supports Doulby Digital via the optical out. But this does not work. Not on any game/DVD I have ever tried anyway

You are wrong. Tomb Raider was released for the PSX first, and it was ported to the PC later.
