Just started playing the original - interesting - anybody else ???

Played the demo last year and it seemed interesting. Since RF2 came out I have been thinking bout getting it.
Looked a lil like Renegade.

I played the original on PC when it came out.

Nice little game, I thought....great 'edge of the seat' ending too!

Red Faction never really did it for me, sadly. Sure the deformation/destruction of terrain was fun and had so much potential, but the game itself seemed a bit bland.

About the only thing that really sticks in my mind about the game was the insane fun you could have with the sticky mining charges.

You could throw them at peoples' heads and they would stick on and the person would run around in circles screaming until you pressed the button.

Yes, the visiting teenage friend of mine that turned me on to it, delights in setting his enemies on fire, etc...

It's just a shoot'em up, but I do like those sticky charges, and once I burrowed into a wall, made a big U turn, and came back out - anyhoo, it's that & the new Indy, until AOD...
