can you get out of the jeep ?

I am playing Tomb Raiders' last revelation on a dreamcast
and what ever I do I can not get out of the jeep in the KV5 level
The manual says press x but this only seems to be activating the brakes. What am I doing wrong ?

I don't have a Dreamcast, but perchance you need to use direction keys as well as the action key (whatever that may be)?
When in doubt, check which key you have mapped to which function in the menu.

Right - if the brakes go on, that's the right key. With that pressed, press the left or right arrow key (unless you're parked on an incline, or next to some object)... :D

this did the trick
At least I can get out to pick up the ammo and stuff

I hope at least one of the Dutch manual editors is reading this maybe they can check before print !
