Well, what do you think, is it necessary to preoder aod or do you think the game won't be sold out that fast?

I don't think so, but it depends on where you get it from. A very well known store might sell faster. Pre-ordering is really to get extra stuff and so you don't have to go to the store.

Dont bother pre-ordering.

For one, the people (not fans) who bought TRI&II were prolly turned off by III,IV and 5. And its been like 2 years since an actual tomb raider release.

So..I doubt its gonna fly off store shelves. The constant delays didnt help either.

And the way Eidos is hyping it, they'll prolly make a bagzillion copies.

honestly, a friend of mine asked at the electronics boutique , and they said they definitly recommended pre-ordering it or putting a deposit down to hold a copy. THey gave the strong impression that it was gonna be a fast seller.... lets hope

I remember when Metal Gear Solid 2 was released in Europe....all the game shops were screaming that if you didn't pre-order you wouldn't get a copy, as there was gonna be such a massive demand that supply couldn't possibly meet!

What rot.

I never once went into a game shop and DIDN'T see a copy on the shelves....same goes for any game.

I don't know if game shops make money from pre-orders (the way electrical goods retailers in the UK always push you to get an extended warranty - its how their sales people get a commission) but I think you'd be perfectly safe in leaving it till the day and buying it straight off the shelf.

I remember not pre-ordering TR3 and not being able to get a copy of it from my normal shop. So, if you're like me and you want to get AoD on THE very day it's released I'd pre-order just incase. There probably will be enough copies for you to buy off the shelf but what harm does it do just to be certain?

I now pre-order off an internet site which is really good. The games are normally cheaper than you'd pay in the shops. They don't debit your card until your order is despatched, and they guarantee that you get your item on the day of release.

I'm not saying this will happen with AoD, but EVERY game I've ordered off there has arrived the day before it's released in the shops.
