:( Reached the room with the Cyborg -sometimes when I enter it is already flooded sometimes it isn't. From that you will gather I have been here a while. I have fried the Cyborg (when its flooded I think), and have slung the rope from the ceiling and tried swinging at the grilled opening. It doesn't (open) and Lara wont grab hold of anything. I assume the grill must be triggered open before can proceed -but how? I also assume that maybe the room mustn't be flooded when Lara enters? Then the Cyborg usually gets me.

A little help would be nice

First, make sure you've picked up the left key bit form the Cyborg, and the large medi pack from the floor.

What's happened is that the switch you threw to drain the water also closed the gate to the vent, so you will have to repeat the trip back up to the top of the vent. Use the rope swing to the high alcove and flip the switch to open the door to the vent.

After flipping the switch in the high alcove, you can take a long running jump to the top of the vent, safety drop over the end, release and then press the Action key to drop and catch the bottom ledge of the vent. Climb in and return to the hall with the laser beams.

I haven't got as far as draining the place yet! Its just sometimes on first entering the room it's dry & sometimes wet!

Be that as it may, I'll try working around your suggestions and see where I end up. (You may just be hearing from me again.)

Hint: -Using the laser sight, you can shoot the red valve wheel on the pipe in the back of the room to release water which electrically shorts out the cyborg.

Done it.
Water already there must have been a bug. Going back a bit and not saving till out again seemed to solve it.
Now it's that **** helicopter :(
