I am trying to find out when AOD will be released in Australia. I have read all the posts regarding the US and UK release and thought Australia can't be that far behind the rest of the world (or can it)? So I rang around a couple of software places to be told that most of them don't even have it on their system yet and the earliest 'in store' date I could get for PC was on the 1st July! Does anyone know where I can preorder in Australia or if worst comes to worst where would the quickest UK or US site to order from. I just cant wait until the 1st!!!! My holidays will be nearly finished by then!

This is amazons guide to delivery throughout what they class as the rest of the world:

Which countries are included in the Rest of the World?

If the country you have selected as your delivery destination is not included in our lists for UK, Western Europe or North America, then we consider it to be in the Rest of the World for our dispatch purposes. This includes all countries in Asia (eg: Japan, China, Pakistan, India, etc.),Australia and New Zealand, all African countries, Central America (Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, etc.), the Caribbean and Mexico, South America (Colombia, Chile, Argentina, etc.).

How will it be delivered?

There are two different delivery options for Rest of the World addresses. You can choose from Airmail, which takes 7-10 working days to arrive, or Priority Express, which takes 2-4 working days to arrive. A full breakdown of the different costs for each service is detailed in the tables below. Rest of the World is not eligible for free Super Saver Delivery.

How long will it take to arrive?

To find out when you will receive an item, you need to consider the availability of the item you ordered and add it to the stated dispatch time for your chosen destination.
We use the following equation: Availability + Dispatch Time = Total Delivery Time

For deliveries to a Rest of the World address via Airmail, dispatch time is 7-10 days.
For deliveries to a Rest of the World address via Priority Express, dispatch time is 2-4 days.

So, if you are ordering an item displaying 24-hour availability, and wish to have it delivered via Priority Express, you can expect to receive the item at your door 3-5 days after you place your order.

Hope this helps

It's going to be a week late here in NZ -- confirmed on the Gameplanet site I write for as being the 28th. No reason given, though if it's due to distribution (ie., getting it to Oceania) it might be the same thing in Oz - both countries are covered by the same distributor.

Time for a website plug methinx: www.gameplanet.co.nz

Thanks for the amazon update, I'm from Australia, and buy books at Amazon, regularly, but they can't sell software (CD Games) to Australia, so guess we will have to wait for the local release, I guess we'll get in when NZ does....

I went and had a look at various aussie websites (gamesmarket, topspot, dstart & gamesmarket)and all are listing it as released on the 21st but I dont know how long they will take to arrive after dispatch. This may be the way I'll go.

Thanks for all your replies.
