Links elsewhere in the threads (IGN and trchron) to the clips. Anyway there was some interesting stuff in these movies -- we got to see some of the weapons and the new inventory screen. As someone pointed out these clips look quite old as they've not got the fancy health and stamina bars at top-left. Slight bug in the weapons videos too where after drawing a gun from the inventory screen Lara holds up her empty left hand (traditional TR akimbo pistols style) as though there's a gun in it. As for the other clips showing Lara's progress up the side of the building; I have to hope we can break away from those vocal hints (or turn them off completely) to carry on playing the game -- hints would be nice; full page texts on how to do 'X' are not.
The inv. screen looks well organised: everything fades to black and we get a catagoried inventory curving away on the right hand side of the screen; all atop an animated background. The subsections where: Health, Weapons, Puzzle?, Load Game, Save Game, Notebook (at last!), and Exit (back to game).
As is common recently (ala NOLF, retail CS and a number of other recent RL themed games) the guns have been renamed to prevent legal action by their manufacturers and are as follows [with real name listed in square brackets]:
'M-V9' [dunno what this one is supposed to be]
9mm semi-automatic: 12 shot clip; long range; optional silencer and laser sight.
'Vector-R35s' [HK USP (movie-lara's guns); match variant with fancy compensators]
45 caliber semi-automatic; 9 rounds; low velocity; short range.
'Scorpion-X Pistols' [Glocks - which aren't full auto]
Fully automatic 9mm machine pistol: 30 shot clip; medium range; optional silencer.
Got the wrong model for the type of gun wanted here. If you're going to call a gun 'Scorpion' it ought to be the Czech Skorpion machine pistol (as used in TR2). Glocks are semi-auto handguns which come in a variety of calibers. Converting one to full auto might be possible but... ooh yuck...
'V-Packer' [stockless Beretta shottie]
Pump-action 12-bore shotgun; close quarters 6-shot; slow reload; short or medium range effectiveness depending on whether using standard shot or spreadshot ammo.
Still using 'spreadshot ammo' when I think they're after the effect caused by a choke. Ammo options ought to be 12 gauge or solid slugs.
'Mag Vega' [aka the HK MP5]
9mm SMG; 30 Round clip; three modes -- single action, semi automatic and fully automatic; long-range; optional silencer and laser sight.
'Viper SMG' [Russian Bizon]
SMG; 70 round cylindrical clip; automatic and semi-automatic fire; long range; optional laser sight.
This is the interesting one. Only ever seen it in Operation Flashpoint (and as a replacement model in CS) before this.
'K2 Impactor' [some tazer]
Stun gun; fires 50,000-volt twin electric probes; short range; optional laser sight.
'Dart SS' [some tranquiliser pistol]
Four-dart stealth weapon; renders target instability and unconsciousness; short range; optional laser sight.
NOLF2-style dart gun - probably a leftover from Cate Archer's adventures in the 60s. Wonder if it carries security camera inhibitors? :)
'Rigg 09' [Luger]
9mm single-action handgun; 9 round magazine; short range weapon.
It's a WW2 style Luger... are they desperately trying to bury everyone's thoughts of Empirical Indy or what? :D Wonder about the 'Rigg' name too... Diana Rigg actually used a WW2 Walther (not the PPK) in the Avengers...
Desert 'Ranger' [Desert Eagle]
Large .50 cal pistol; semi automatic; medium range; optional laser sight.
Guaranteed to break people's wrists no matter how big they are...
