windows xp

hi guys.
been away for a while,i had to rebuild my pc and eventually got everything to work again.
i am now using windows xp pro but cannot get le to work i have tried running in win98 mode but still wont work.
anyone got any tips or patches.
heres my new setup.
AMD 1200mz
lg dvd/cdrw
prophecy 4000xt pci

There are some who have difficulties running the Level Editor with XP, but there are many that have no problem at all.
I have XP home and it runs better than it ever did in 98 it doesn't crash and it also starts up everytime without rebooting (it used to give an error if I tried to run it more than once without rebooting).
I can only suggest that you ensure you have current up-to-date drivers: DirectX9/video card/sound card.
It would help if you said what the error is, or what happens when you try to run it.
Running it in compatibility mode shouldn't be necessary.

I have thw LE running on xp home, and the only problem is the zoom and rotate actions work so fast, I'm using a 2,8 gig P4.

Dont run it in compatability mode, and make sure you set windows to 16 bit colour, it defaults to 32 bit colour.

Mine runs ok in 32 bit color... how strange?
