Cheating SR?

I was thinking.... <bad sign to begin with>

1) For SR1, there are codes that allow you to activate abilities early right?

2) There is no locked areas in SR1, since all the areas are based off of what abilities you have gotten so far (example: You cannot go past the Pillar Room to get to the Force Projectile ability before you defeat Zephon because you do not have his wall climbing ability. There's no other block, right?)

So, 1+2...... Does this mean that you could beat the game without facing the bosses if you activate the abilities? Are the cut-scenes necessary to allow the next event to happen? I'm thinking not (all the extra abilities, like the Fire Reaver have cut-scenes, but you don't need to activate those events to finish the game).

Has anybody else attempted such a travisty?

Yes, if you use the cheat codes you can go anywhere at any time.

How very interesting...

Just finished the game from a saved game right before you defeat Zephon. All that was needed to be done was go through the Oracle's Cave.

I once managed to escape the first battle with Kain by activating the wall climbing ability early. It's hard to do though cause he knocks you off the wall when he blasts you. The fly code is easier in you gave a gameshark.

Yeah I did this. I have done everythin apart from the boss fights. Apart from the first fight with kain and the morlock I can go to fight any of the broths I want whenever I want and enjoy any cutscene I choose (apart from a few which you have to see to get to a certain point. rahabs area is hard to get to withot activating a ton of cut scenes)

Hmmm is there any cheat (or possibility at all) that I will be able to fly in the Soul Reaver PC game???? I do hope so :)

Umm....there is no way that I know of to just fly around in any direction. There is a way to hack Raziel's Z coordinate (height) so that you can start a glide from high up, then try to land on an otherwise unattainable ledge.

thanks, I already know that website, but I never checked out any of the hacking stuff... I might do so in the future :D

My own personal cheating experience was using a Shark code that opened up all the Warp Gates right from the start, so you could go straight from the Abyss to the final battle against Kain.
