I completed the game on Sunday :)
heres how i did the final mission, 'Just one more fight'
When you start of move your troops up slightly and then towards this ridge that overlooks the Green encampment, you may get attacked by some units on the way there but not toom any, certianly copable with anyway.
Next get your catapult (i think its the catapult or is it a balista?) to the edge of the ridge with archers and just start attakcing the camp, whislt this is going on a few green spearmen will move slowly towards you but wont reach you in time to stop the camp being destroyed.
At this point you'll get contorl of the green leader and when you move him near other green troops you gain control of them.
Sometimes at this point camel riders and a few gladiators would sometimes attack me, but not always which was odd.
Anyway move you weaker units and catapult down to that camp, with the legionnares/praetorians and archers (with your commander) move up another hill near the ridge you are on now. There should be a forest on it, there are enemy archers here so moev legionares in tortoise formation and kill them, next get your archers to the hill side and destroy the Yellow camp, gain contorl of the leader and run him intot he forests because at this point I got attacked by the gladiators and orange legionnares. Send your men to the camp and kill the attackers.
Move your yellow leader around the vicinity to gain more troops to your side. Next its onto the orange camp.
You'll notice there arnt many enemy troops on the immediate road route, some nubian archers in the forest that are yelllow, get your egyptian leader to recruit these fellas and have them set fire to the tall grass above the forest they are in because there are enemy gladiators there.
Also there are enemy praetorians near the orange camp so after dealing with the gladiators run the nubian archers to the tall grass down from the forest near the orange camp. Now have them fire poison arrows at the praetorians, then when the praetorians are on the tall grass set fire to the grass in front of there path and they'll walk to there firey deaths.
Then destroy the orange camp to gian control of a centurion who can recruit the orange units to your cause, when you get him however enemy siege weapons begin firing on the hill were he is so have your units run down to the forest which they are near.
Go and recruit units with your new centurion which are orange, you may come across a few more enemy praetorians on this side of the river so be careful.
Next is crossing the bridge, you'll notice there are green, yellow and orange troops on a hill surrounded by shallow water, i did not collect these troops until i had secured the village that is white nearby.
So send your army to that village and they'll join you, however be on your guard because almost immediately you'll be attakced by quite a large enemy force.
After securing that village, build troops until your unit limit is maxed out THEN go and collect the green, yellow and orange troops on the hill and have them go to your vilalge with the rest of your forces.
Now its time to prepare for a seige, what i did was build assualt towers, and just load hunters, legionnares and slingers into them. I did not however send the siege towers ahead of my main forces ot hit the walls, as they'd be destoryed first of all, so what I did was keep the assault towers behind my troops whislt the enemy archers/slingers concentrated on killing the units on ground adn then i sent my loaded assault towers to the walls.
This worked well and as soon as my troops started hitting the walls enemy resistance fell quikly and I was free to destroy the enemy barracks and then kill the enemy general.
Hope that helps
overall, Great game one of my favourites, I hope an addon pack and sequel could be made
