Replaying TLR, am at the end of Guardian of Semerkhet, and after I watch the FMV, the game crashes. My computer works perfectly fine with other programs (including older versions of TR). And I have played this game before (all 47 nervewracking levels of it).
Any reason why this might happen?
Also, I have 2 drives to put CDs in, the first (cd/dvd) won't work, but the second (a cd burner) will run it. It's very strange that it's not working for any disc I put in it.
Hmm...
Hope someone helps me soon...
Thanks ahead of time. :D

I would get all the drives working if I were you, but that might cost money. TR4, in my experience, tends to be fussy about CDRom drives. On my two machines, when the drives crapped out, TR4 was the first program to start having problems. TR4 also tends to develop registry problems when it's been uninstalled and reinstalled on the same machine. I don't know what your problem is, but I know what I'd do. If i diddn't already have Reg Cleaner, I'd get it(it's free). Then I'd move my savegame to a safe folder, and completely uninstall TR4 and delete the TR4 folder. Then I'd use RegCleaner to remove all the TR4 registries, and reinstall. Using the drive I intended to play from, of course. Good Luck.

That's the train FMV, isn't it?
It's a very well known bug.... :)
This is what Theresa says about it:
Movie Bug:
Hot tip: T*U*K recommends avoiding the bug by turning bump mapping off. This seems to work very well.
OR One possible solution is to go into Setup (Insert the cd to start the game...select the setup option or Start meu/Program Files/Core Design/Tomb Raider Last Revelation/Setup) and then click on the box for no FMV (Movies). There are some movie cuts that will still play...most of them can be avoided by pressing the LOOK or ESC key. (found by Mikel).
OR Click to download a saved game (http://web.archive.org/web/20001209125500/http://www.tombraiders.com/trlr/Levels/Desert_Railroad/savegame.0) at the beginning of the level for Desert Railroad.
Hope it helps! :)
