Now, we all know who her father was... but has anyone ever given a thought to who her mother could be?

I have a theory:
MODESTY BLAISE!!!

This Lady is an invention of Peter O'Donnell, who wrote several (ca. 10?) novels in the sixties, when Modesty was around 25... She is a dark-haired, elegant lady who settled in England after having spent her childhood in various prisoner-camps around the med... she had her own "net" (gang) and operated from Morocco when she was eighteen, and by the time she was 25 retired from crime, rich beyond belief.
She then proceeded to spice up her life with adventures, where she happily kills lots of baddies... she is a martial arts expert and an extremely good shooter. She has the ability to get out of the worst situations with not much more than a bra on...

I have to say, the conclusion that she married Lord Croft, had little Lara and then buggered off again to some distant adventure, attracts me.
In fact, this makes me wonder if Lord Croft's real name might not be Willie Garvin ;)

In true life history exists, but fantasy life is patched; a little like your favourite OS. :D

Look closely in the TRC title and first Fmv you will see both of lara's parents.

That answers my question posed in the lingering soul thread!

How do you know that's Lara's mother, and that her father didn't remarry someone later on in life?

How do I KNOW?
It's a theory you know.
I don't know... I just can't put my finger on it...
what makes me think that?

Hey, it's only a theory.
It's a safe bet that some of the designers of Lara may have
been Modesty Blaise fans.

editWhoa!! The timing on these two last posts is scaryedit

Met a fellow poster on the trchronicles board who had a bit of trouble posting here, (hopefully his problem should only be temporary), at any rate, had a bit of trouble posting, so I'm posting this for him. This is his post:

Hi this is Chris, i want to tell you a (did you know thing)

Did you know there can never be a Indiana Jones and Lara Croft game where they are together.

When Lara was born, Indy was in he's 60's.

Never is there any mention of the two meeting or mentioning each other.

Lara is now in her 30's and Indy is probably dead by now.

Did you know that it could be that Indy's granddaughter married Lara's father then Lara was born.

Maybe they did tell her of her grandfather, but we just never hear it.

Did you know that it could be a known fact that the Ark with the Ten Commandments in Indiana Jones and the Lost Ark Movie is the Ark in Lara's home in Tombraider 1. Rember, it was in a box and being carried away by a truck at the end of the movie, now it's in Lara's home.

Did you know that in Tombraider Chronicles Larson and Pierre are in the first three levels and they die, but in the first Tombraider game whe see Larson and Pierre again and they also die. An error of life and death there. I think in TR Chronicles they should've been bumped on the head or something then whe see them in TR1.

I wish the Eidos company would re-made Tombraider Chronicles and fix the bug errors on the last level of the game and the Larson and Pierre death. They should fix the graphics, the PC game looks and sounds like a Playstation game.

Is it true that Eidos were broke so they needed money fast, i read it somewhere. A few months later TR Chronicles came out, thats why it looks so bad.

In Tombraider The Last Revelation at the end of the game, Lara releases Seth. Now Lara only traps him in the cave with an Ank. Do you actually think that God is going to sit in that cave, i mean he can blow a hole in the wall and he's free. They should make a Tombraider Last Revelation Gold where Lara kills Seth for good.

Why is Simon West not directing Tombraider Movie 2.

Please write back to daventry@telkomsa.net

Thank you.

Lara's mother is a redhead. Unless, of course, she was the one in the suit. ;)

Or at the very least that Lara and Indy have been in the same room.
Albeit not at the same time.
