No, I'm not kidding! I saw it on the shelves!! I did'nt buy it cuase I preordered off the net. My Mother said it was going to be comeing within a fue days, (My preorder) I don't know if she got an E-mail or what but she said it was comeing, and then seeing it today! I'll go take pictures of it on the shelves if it if I must! This wal-mart is a "Super center", the really really big ones. But I figured SOMEONE had played Aod! Has no one else seen Aod out other then me?!

The lady who i asked answered "Yeah, we've already had it, but its sold out now."

And i asked again if it was out and she said. "Yeah, we had it, but its sold out now."

Im gonna check out the store tomorrow.

well, i would expect more from some a respected member of the forums alias, check again. Electronics Boutique has rights to the very first copies of the angel of darkness, and on there site/ in the store (i was at the mall yesterday) it says june 10th. On the site it says may 20th but those are all subject to change. Not to mention that we would hear an official press release from eidos about 2 weeks before it is released. And also we would be receiving updates from trchronicles.com and tombraider.com. Sorry to dissapoint but, it's not out just yet. ESPECIALLY at walmart.

Okay not to sound to much of a persitant person thingy, but she had asked people there that also worked there, and they said that they had seen them there, and that lots of people bought them. Maybe it wasnt there, and if thats true, they have a lot of explaining to do.

The game has not been released.Retailers are simply giving out misinformation, if we don't have a specific date then how do they?
We are still on course for a 4th quarter release (april-june) and we never gave a date out after the Feb delay.
The game is so close, but alas not yet.It will be on www.tombraider.com when it is announced.
Take it easy and please keep your patience, it'll be worth the wait

As for this persons claims that it's out, well, I'll leave you guys to say what you think

Sellers will have photos of boxes and "pre-sell" you a copy of AOD for Over $40. Unfortunately you will have to wait just like the rest of the world for it's arrival.

Guys, quit it, I'm not jokeing! It's no joke, I REALLY saw it!!! I was so excited to see it! So I thought it was out, well cuase I saw it for one thing!
I did'nt bother to buy it cause I thought mine was on the way (Being shiped). They said it was comeing and sense it was at wal-mart I was like, IT OUT!!! Today I got a second Email from EBgames and they said that it was going to be sent in May, at first I paniced, cuase it was out and now they were going to recall it?! I doubt they'd do that, so I tryed going back and checking out wal-mart, but all of them were sold out! Someone has this game! There were like 10-20! Arrg I should have bought it! But yes, I really saw it! I'll go take a picture of it (If they'll let me take a pic in the store, and if it's still there ;) ).

Though, I remember all the games next to AOD, I don't remember if it was PS2 or PC, maybe that has something to do with the weird release dates! Hmmm *Ponders*

Also ppl say it's out in Iraq and Libya (Sp?)!

when I saw alias' message I went to walmart and I didn't see the game or even a promotional box or something. BUT there was a paper with the release dates for several games, except tomb raider (by the way I was looking at the pc games) next to that paper there were lots of games and one part was empty, just like when a game has been sold out, and they leave the space empty until they get more games. so I look at the little price paper on the frot of the shelve and I read Tomb Raider Angel and the price 44.99 I don't think that's a promotional paper cause it doesn't show any release date or something so that means that maybe it realy was out or at least they expect it to be out soon so they are making space for the game.
I went a day before an there were 2 guys re-organizing the games, But I didn't ask anything and they had 2 carts with games but I didn't see any tomb raider in them

anyway I think it's not out,

usually I don't know if you guys went to amazon.com last april 22nd but according to them on that day the game was out. the whole day they din't change that until the next day they update it and now it says may 20th

No. I'm simply sayin that the manufacturers (Core/Eidos) decide on the release dates. The distributors must get the dates from Core + Eidos; otherwise theres a whole lot of guessin involved!

Gary, if you are reading this, I have a quick Q for you.
How are the controls coming along with the PS2 version?

I have read loads of mags and online previews and they all seem to moan about the controls...trying to walk backwards makes her rotate on the spot, want her to do X, but she does Y, etc.
Are you going to force raiders to use the analog sticks or will there be an option to use the old digi pad?????

Its good to hear that the controls have been worked out. The magazine I read said that with the controls they played with were confusing. They would slightly press up on the analog stick and she start walking. Press a little harder and she'd break out into a run. They also said that they had her fall of one to many cliff than they wanted to say with these controls.:D

Hmmm, funny considering Eidos ran and ad on IGN saying it was due out this month. It has since been retracted, but this leads the consumer to believe it will be out by the end of the month.

I have seen AOD advitised in Big W (The Australian equivilent of a massive department store) catalogue three times. I rang up a couple of times and found out that. Its just a load of ...


It's not out, and I think that Core/Eidos would be being rude/disloyal to thier fans if they did'nt at least give them a bit of warning. Also Eidos would be playing the massive marketing game way before the game is released. Any game company which does not advertise thier product is shooting themselves in the foot.
