how to fire sniper rifle?

I just started playing Hitman2 (never played Hitman) and I'm trying to shoot the sniper Rifle on the anathema level. When I press the "fire" mouse button, it switches to a "scope" view, but once I've acquired my target, I don't know what button to press to actually pull the trigger. Am I the only one who's not figured this out? :)

When you press the action button the scope for the snipper will appear. Press it again to shoot. Remember you can zoom, use the zoom key to do that.
