My friend Dan told me that there is going to be Lara's Home on AOD. Since I am a fan of LH I decided to look up on google.com if there was such a statement about LH on AOD. I couldn't find anything. If you know about LH on AOD please tell me

Core said that we would not be able to see Lara's house in Aod although everyone (mostly) wants to see it.:(

That's a shame! Lara's home lends quite a different feeling to the game. Not to mention the famed obstacle course contests :) They delayed the game so much that they might as well put some extra content in it.

Eh, you sure about that XanderD? I can just see the latest press release:
"Due to customers' demands for Lara's house, it will be added to the game. As a result, AOD will now be delayed until the apocalypse."

I love dinking around in her house and out! I would be sad if they did not include this, I hope that since AOD is the first of 10 chapters of a "book" that core hopes to cover in the next 3-4 upcoming games that if they put in no house then maybe the voices of the people can change it before the future makings of TR.

Um, I think you may have misunderstood my feeble joke. I was saying that IF Core adds the house to AOD, it will probably delay the release of the game even more.
Anyway, I think Lara should return to her house in a later episode. It would be cool to work that into the story. Or maybe Lara gets in trouble somewhere, and Kurtis needs to retrieve something from her house. That would put a new twist on things.

I'd love to also see LH however I'd want to see it more interactive. L could sit in a chair play the piano, drink tea still shoot brush her hair. Cool LH rules!

hmmm... I dunno. I like the house too, but do we really want her to brush her hair and teeth, etc? That's boardering on becoming a "Barbie's Playhouse" CD-ROM rather than TR!

Of course not, but Lara's Training Course was a good way for TR rookies to get familiar with the controls. And because presumably the controls and moves in AoD will be quite different from those in the old TR games, putting Lara's House in the game would make it unnecessary to turn the first level into a training ground.
But maybe the USAF has blown Lara's house into simthereens because the good old butler vented too much 'nerve gas' :D
they should add her house...
i used to jump around , lock the butler, etc...
thats how i got good at the game....
they shoudnt have gotten rid of it in the first place....
but maybe the delay is because of the house adding...

Well, I don't just think Lara's home was just a training level. It was an exploration level too. For me, at least, I would love to go around and see what i could and couldn't do, push the bounderies a little. I wouldn't go online to find bugs with Lara's Home, but rather find them myself. That's why I got hooked on Tomb Raider, the aspect that there could be something more. I Don't know, that is my explination and justification for Lara's Home.
wats so cruel about locking the butler...
you have to lock him in the meat room or he'll come in the middle
when youre doing the training...
poor old man?...
hes a shooting board!
you practice to shoot on him!!!
in the end we'll find out that hes an evil genious and hes behind all the evil in the previous games....

If Lara retreated to the safety of her home after she got out of the tomb, then would it not be logical to put her house in AOD? XanderD said something of the effect about Lara's house being good for rookies and I agree. I got famillar with the controls by putting around Lara's house in Tr3.

10 chapters!?!??! well, maybe... :)
>Lock the butler? lmao u cruel person...... poor old man
that's the fun part... cuz you can't order him to just stay in one place or push him in the pool. that and his flatulence makes him undesireable to have around all the time. although it is fun to watch him use the platter as a shield on the course.

don't worry, it will return in the next generation trilogy. i wrote a letter to adrian smith about it and although i can't tell you what he told me, you can be assured her house will return. How could they get rid of a part of the game that actually makes the character feel like a real person, when thats there main goal with lara croft is to make her feel like a real girl.

Good point. Lara's home makes her more human. And when you start the game in Lara's mansion, you can almost feel that adventure awaits you behind the front gate...

Why they never answered my questions?! Do they email you back? Or you pay them? You give them some other sort of pleasure so you get that info? :D

I have to agree with what someone said earlier-- the mansion made Lara seem more real. I still remember when I first played TR1, I had a great time learning the controls in the mansion, and by the time I was exploring the dank caves and tombs, I would occasionally think back to the mansion, and it would actually feel as if Lara was a long way from home.
Still, as much as I enjoyed in TR1, the thrill wore off by the time it appeared in TR2, and was even less inviting by TR3 (fortunately TR3 itself was far better a game than the abysmal TR2.) By "Lost Artifact," I didn't even bother with the house at all. It was time for something new.
In "Last Revelation," I really enjoyed have a new training level that not only taught the controls, but also introduced a major character and set the plot in motion. It was a nice change (and the lighting effects looked so good compared to earlier TRs!) Now, of course, I hate having to replay the Cambodia levels when I start a new game of TR4, but it WAS fun the first time around.
TR5 had the worst training level. Total no-frills blah.

I like the house too, but do we really want her to brush her hair and teeth, etc? That's bordering on becoming a "Barbie's Playhouse" CD-ROM rather than TR!it could be a multi-disc set :D one disc has the game.... another is "lara's playhouse" and you get to dress her up and equip her because she's going to the opera and needs to get ready... and either on the same disc as that or another disc is the sims: lara croft expansion pack :D :D hehehehhee... maybe i or someone else should make a lara croft skin for the sims... that'd be sweet. lara, batman / bruce wayne, maybe the x-men....
