Today, makes 35 years ago that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated by James Earl Ray in Memphis, Tennessee. The dream, was over for many African-Americans. :(
"I have a dream that one day this this will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed.....I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood.....I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
Very little has changed in America in 35 years, sadly. :( Sure, there may be laws, but laws do nothing to racial prejudices.....I have a dream that my four children will one day in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. One day, one day........
