I Really Really Need Help!!

I don't understand TRLe even if i read the manual all i want to know is how to create a room, place textures (i do but it doesn't place them), place baddies and items (i try to but it refuses), and how to make triggers.

Have you done the tutorial level in the manual? I know it sounds boring but it takes you through step by step all the basic elements of building a level. ;)

The Tomb Raider level editor is one of the easiest game level editors out there, but if you're not prepared to take it slowly and learn the boring bits first, it can become very frustrating.

We all want to build first and ask questions later, but believe me, taking time to build the tutorial level as it is in the manual will be the difference between a level that most will laughs at and a level that most will love.

We will try to help if you get into difficulties, but building the tutorial level is a little like the entrance fee, as more other members will be prepared to help if you have at least experienced the basics.

Follow the tutorial level first, and you will find the more advanced features will come a lot easier. ;)

Of all of the editors out there i have tried most of them and attempted to create my own levels etc..... But i found it too difficult......When i first got the Level Editor it was soooooo difficult but i studied hard doing the tutorial level and i got better and better......Still now whenever i build levels they get better each time and i am still improving!

TRLE can be very rewarding...and very annoying at the same time. Be sure to back up your projects, make extra copies in some folder somewhere, and keep them safe, it seems when you have a huge insanely cool project, the editor will crash, and you won't lose hope with a bunch of backups :) Just a random tidbit of help, lol. I can't stress enough for you to do the tutorial level in the manual, but if Egypt is too boring for you (like it was for me) try something else, with the same objects and stuff, like a chinese level or south pacific, whatever works for you.

There are some very talented and helpful people on this forum.
I agree with the general consensus above that you need to attempt the tutorial.
Of course, when you get stuck just ask, people are only too willing to help, no matter how silly the question might seem. We've all been where you are now!

But the big problem for me is creating rooms and triggers if you can help me do that i have learned everything. Also how to place textures and connecting them. I have played the tutorial level too. No help!

Toobcool you say you have played the tutorial level but have you built it? All the things you are asking are covered in the tutorial level but you need to build it first. Start at the beginning build that first room, the manual tells you how to put in the triggers and place textures etc. Believe me we all had to start with that first room, it's very boring I know but persevere!

Go into the Manual and copy everything everything it says......Build the exact rooms as the tutorial. It helps a lot!

The only thing i have trouble with is selectying different textures and i don't need to build the tutrioal level i read what you have to do and i tryed it and it's pretty easy my level is coming out soon it's called Ancient Jails.
