My mom gave me the ol' Macintosh this week. It has Photoshop 5.0, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweave, Adobe Pagemaker, and I think we have QuarkXpress and Flash 4 around somewhere. My mom was trying to get a graphics design/web design job a year or two ago, but it didn't work too well. So we have all this cool stuff that was going unused for a while. The only bad thing is that the Mac isn't connected to the internet... Oh, it also has a scanner, nice color printer, and a Zip drive. I'm so happy:D

Macs are cool. Don't let the PC-only crowd fool you...They are just jealous-whoops, I mean not multilingual.

Sounds like you have the setup to begin publishing your own 'zine...

I was going to say the exact same thing.
Photoshop is great, but the things you can do when you have Illustrator as well....
Both programs have great tutorial features.
You're gonna have some fun.

Save up a few bucks, grab a switch and some cat5, run her together and boom! Internet.

Mom doesn't like wires? Try a wireless solution... You can have a wireless network set up in your house for less then $100USD these days... Or heck, under $25 with ebay.

I could do that, but it still would not be worth it. The computer is so old it would probably explode if I tried that...
