SO far i have only played the first level. My friend is over and wont let me play rite now :(
The graphics are really pretty at the front screen and the FMV is sweet.
The first level is pretty crappy though, you juts get three guys plus your hero. Its more of a tutorial.
The copy of Warcraft II i got says not for sale on it, so it may be free with every copy of the game.
I also got SOF II but it looks so crap on my old PC :(

You get Wc2 with Wc3 normal eddition? And is the Wc2 you get with it the Battle.net eddition? I only have the origenal dos version and I really missed out on the multi player :(

So wise and yet so creamy.......
Good advice but i want to be surpreised in the campaign levels.
Anyway, i was browsing the custom game section looking for a good map when i noticed a "Scenarios" folder. I opended it and the contents astound me. It contains to levels, but neither are anything like Warcraft III. One is an arcade game using the game's engine in which you have to dodge becrazed sheep and cattle by moving left and right. The other scenario gives you the option of choosing one of eight heros then battling through one huge big level Diablo 2 style.
I am geussing that there are going to be a lot of user made scenarios on the net, so i'm off for a peek :)

I see someone hasn't bothered to read the manual... IT IS A TUTORIAL. That's why you are allowed to skip it and go straight onto the human campaign. There is another Orc campaign later on so you wont miss out on any of the races.
EDIT: Upon rereading my post, I have realised that it sounded way too harsh, so am giving you a few smilies. You may do what you wish with them. :) :D  :D  :D :)

In the campaign roster it says it is the Prologue. And it has a sweet piece of FMV at the beginning so you should play it. :)
And it gives you some of the story :p

My favourite FMV is the opening for the human campaign, when that bird flies to Naboo-- Er, I mean that castle... :D
Sure there is no action in it, but that bird is so detailed! The country side is well modelled! It is just a damn beautiful peice of cinema...

Blizzard do the best FMV sequences ever. The Diablo II movies are so amazing. They have beauty so astounding it numbs the senses :)

I can't say I was a big fan of some of the Starcraft FMVs though... They had a fair amount of detail, no complaints there, but I didn't like the whole ugly red-neck theme that came through on many Terran FMVs. My most disliked FMV was the one where those to army boys accidentally run down a zerg whilst in their jeep. You know the one?

I think i do remember that one. I didn't have Starcraft, just played it at my freinds house a lot. Did the rednecks kinda look a bit cartoony or does my feeble brain fool me?

They look incredibly cartoonish, and they were dim. No, actually they weren't, they were MORONS!
I prefer more intelligent and subtle humour in my games, more like Warcraft III has.
For you wc fans here is the wcII severed hand cursor.

I got my collecter's edition version today. There's some really cool stuff in there. Soundtrack CD, cinamatics DVD, Warcraft Artbook and some other stuff.
Especially that artbook is really cool, it contains loads of artwork from the game and even some for World of Warcraft.

Has anyone tried the world editor yet? It's really cool. But i need to find out how to do quest things and scenarios.
