First,what I whant to know is how did I triger that darn alarm? Lucky for me at the time it whent off all the servents of the manor were blackjacked and the gaurds were "sleeping." Still I'd like to know how I set it off. My second question is about this Holy relic I'm to steal. Is it this Magic book I've herad of and is it in the chaple? Is it in the chaple behind the false book case? If so how can I get to it?

I can answer your first question. The alarm is quite unusual. Instead of being triggered by pressing a button, the alarm gets triggered if you DON'T press the button. A guard patrols the building and presses this button every time he goes past. If he's knocked out or killed, the button isn't pressed in time and the alarm goes off.

There are two locks in the bookcase that you have find keys for to get behind there. You can ONLY do this on Expert, so if you're trying to do it on another diffiulty setting, it won't exist.
