OK--so, how many of you out there have played PC versions of TR and PS(/other consoles, dreamcast, right?) versions?

I have and I was wondering how you all would compare them.

I like them both, but I am originally a console player, so that's what I'm sticking with for AOD.

The graphics for the PC are...::gasp::... a insy bit better. OK, I give in. But not by much, like--I wouldn't not play the PS versions again just because the PC has changed my life. lol. I hope that last sentence made sense.

And--the controls for the PC are actually pretty simple--I got really use to them quickly--I kinda like 'em. Yeah--I know, everyone *****es about the PC controls..why?

hm. yeah. That's all I wanted to say. :D What do you all think?

I played Tomb Raider 1 for the first time in years recently for the PC. I didn't realize how bad the graphics were! I think she is easier to control on PC than on the playstation version (I had a lot of trouble adjusting to the old controls) Thank you to the creators of Glidos!!

i originally played TR on the PS, and ended up with TRII & TRIII on the PS, but when there's a computer available with decent specs, i'm a PC-player all the way. i've given away all my PS TR games and now play the PC versions.

judging graphics PC vs PS hinges fairly heavily on the specifications of the PC, though. my old 486 jobbee would run TR, but not TRII. my old Pentium 166 runs TRII, but not incredibly nicely. my Athlon XP 2100+ runs all the games beautifully (of course, graphics cards also have a helluva lot to do with it, but i can't be bothered listing all my details for my systems). so, in order to say that PC graphics are a smidge better, well, i'd have to say that a nicely spec'd, correctly configured PC would kick the sh** outta PS graphics.

[edited to add] i don't have any problems with the PC controls. i don't know why it's such an issue. sure, they can take a bit of getting used to, especially if the game/s were first played on the PS. but all in all, they seem rather comfy to me.

I like to play them all on my PC, but I miss the audio tracks that were left out of the PC versions. Tomb Raider 1 PSX has like 56 audio tracks and the PC version only has about 6 or 7.

I have played just one - TR2 - on both PC and PS. The PS I played it on was hooked up to a really good 25" Sony flatscreen. The PC was a 600mhz Clereon, 32mb Radeon, 19" monitor 1024x768.
It looks so much better on the PC it's not even funny. And I find the keyboard less cramped and confusing than the PS controller.
