For me its got to be The Number of the Beast - Iron Maiden!!

Great Headphone Tunes
It's been many years, but Rush's 2112 was always good.
Mountain Jam off the Allman Brothers Eat a Peach is good.
Rick Wakeman's Journey To The Center of the Earth comes to mind.
ELP Live.
Oh, and The Great Rock and Roll Swindle.

You really wanna try anything from Canteloube but especially from the Songs of the Auvergne like Bailero if you ever need something to relax to LARAMANIAC. ;)

Someone else remembers Classic Rock! I, just a couple of weeks ago, wrote this to a CD and mailed it back to my 4.5 year old daughter, in Missouri. She said it was scary! I've been trying to find a "read along" book with this Verne classic, so that my daughter could read along and look at pics with the symphony. Haven't found yet.
Don't like headphones. :( Never found a pair that was worth having.

Headphones aren't a necessity PtTe2! Try lying down flat on your back with a speaker either side of your head - LOL - works just as well!!!!! ;)

One feature that you can appreciate more with headphones than with your head against the floor is the panning. As long as it's not over-used, having a sound feel like it's traveling through one ear and out the other is rather nifty.
You can get a similar effect with properly placed multi-piece speaker sets, but it's just not quite the same "moving through your brain" effect.
