Ok.....I got hooked with Last Revalation way back and with the new Angel of Darkness comming out I have decided to buy all the previous ones.

Here are my questions:

1. Do the gold editions have both the original and newer missions?

2. Does the Tombraider collection (TR4 and TR5) have Last Revelations new missions in it?

3. Does the lost artifact add on to TR3 or is it separate (having its own .exe)?

4. If I get the trilogy will it have any of the extra missions?

5. If the trilogy does not have the extra mission and I get the other ones separate, do they add on or will they have their own .exe?

Well, that should be it.

Answers may vary because of platform (PC or PS) or geography (different packages for different locations or countries). I can only speak of my experiences.

1. Do the gold editions have both the original and newer missions?
No, the gold editions are separate add-ons. For TR1, you can download all of them free from Stella's (http://www.tombraiders.net/stella/downloads.html), but you must have the original TR1cd to play. For TR2 the first 2 levels don't require the cd, but if you download the full version (5 levels) you must have the original TR2 cd.

2. Does the Tombraider collection (TR4 and TR5) have Last Revelations new missions in it?
I don't think so, though TR5 has a bonus at the end (got to get all secrets) where you get to look at some storyboards and stuff.

3. Does the lost artifact add on to TR3 or is it separate (having its own .exe)?
There is a demo of Lost Artifact (free download), and it's a separate add-on. Lost Artifact is sometimes called TR3 Gold (not officially). It's a separate game on cd (you have to buy it), and installs separate from TR3

4. If I get the trilogy will it have any of the extra missions?
The trilogy I bought (TR1, 2 and 3) didn't have any add-ons.

5. If the trilogy does not have the extra mission and I get the other ones separate, do they add on or will they have their own .exe?
See previous answers.:)

I'll throw this in: There is also a level commissioned by the London Times. It uses the TR4 engine and is worth the download (free!). All the above TR info supplied by Stella's. (http://www.tombraiders.net/stella/index.html)

Before you get TR! and TR1gold, be aware that these are old games. They run in DOS, and need the old VESA display drivers.
If your OS does not have a DOS shell(2000, XP) or if your video card is too advanced, it won't play it. For instance - my PC has WinMe as an OS, and it would play TR1. But after I installed my Radeon7200 card, it wouldn't, because the card doesn't use the old VESA display drivers. So, caveat emptor.

Hey!!!! I lost my TR3: The Lost Artifact-cd just recently? Can I buy it somewhere where it's not too expensive to buy it? And if I legally download these Tomb Raider I: Unfinished Business-levels, do they also come with this special file that makes the original Tomb Raider I-game look better? It was on the cd, but I don't know whether one can download it also and whether it comes immediately with the Tomb Raider I: Unfinished Business-download?

bye for now

Godfather, you can buy Lost Artifact online. I just checked Chips and Bits e-store via Stella's (http://www.tombraiders.net/stella/gamestore.html) and it is in stock for $12.95 US. Don't know about shipping to your address; you'll need to check on that.

There it is. Go get it!;)
