TenChen mate, somtimes other folders have lots of messages in you're not aware of. Look at message tracking folder for example, or sent messages. ;)

wow thanks Dhama, i didnt know i was "tracking" Files or that i had such a long list of sent items, anyhoo all deleted now thnx Budd:)

just FYI, though it is wise to clean up message tracking once in a while, it is not counted within the limit of maximum PM messages you can hold in your inbox and sent items
