Strangly enough I installed C2 the other day but once I started playing it, I was like...why did I install this?

Howdy guys!
The outfit I write for, Combatsim.com has received no new news on C3 yet!

As I've said, I'm getting milege out of C2 by doing infinite variations of the missions. I thought I had tried them in all ways possible but there are still new ways do things if you get creative since we're not worried about scores, ranks and medals. It's been fun to get careless and bold just to see what happens. I've had to laugh at the results of how I got a commando killed or how goofy the AI goons were.

Just little things like using one commando to do as much as possible as the hero of a mission is different. Run other missions, like Haiphong where Green Beret is alone or White Death where Fins is alone at first, using one guy only. Run missions where you puropsefully kill every enemy or run it where you avoid as many as possible. Forget the bonus pieces if it means just entering an area to get them and contacting the enemy.

Forget time constraints and stroll around with Spooky and do diffferent things. In Paris let Natasha do most of the work and get all the sniper rounds then go an a shooting spree. Or let Duke do the same. Let Tread get to the tank early and squash the goons for fun.

Wipe out as many goons in Colditz as you can before rescuing Lupin. Begin Colditz using one different commando working is way around in different directions.

A lot have, no doubt tried much of this, but there are still some surprises left since we probably have 6 months to C3.

Yeah Rufus, it's a hoot to get wild and crazy and tell yourself "well, that doesn't work" when you try some outlandish tactic and get killed! Certain missions can make do with less commandos than you have. I once ran Colditz with Spooky only, going around passing out uniforms and shooting up the goons with dope. Still ahd to have Tread save Lupin and Green Beret call on the radio of course. There's so much poison and dope in the place is is do-able. Fins alone can take out about 40% of the enemy on Savo Island too. Time is long but it's a fun challenge.

To continue the thoughts on commandos though, it is pretty cool to try to make the mission flow like a film; "no time to think" just DO. Run around with Tiny and never pause, it really gives a kinda cool action-game-style tempo.


I trust Rutam, i just want to know what he knows regarding C3

Come on Rutam tell us before the World Cup starts, (cause i"m sure that after We Aussies whip India he wont tell me anything :D :D :D )

ok...my clue to everyone ! regularly check those BIG gaming sites...there will be some "stuff" available soon. If we get our hands on it....may be even we could post some exclusives...but then I am not too sure about that one.

As for the World Cup : Indians have got the coolest batting line-up....no way anyone can beat them !

We should play sometime....if I come over there...or you come over here in the future ! Just for the knowledge sake....I am a pace bowler...I can't bat.

So far we at Combatsim.com have heard of no pre-pre-beta previews existing...yet. I'd venture a guess that by April there might be something. E3 is in May so that should produce a close to final version being shown. When I get a beta I'll let everyone know....

Rutam my personal abilities with the bat and ball are both limited and comic at the same time, but i consider myself a rather talented spectator (don't we all)

I think he is an idiot if he is telling the truth, because he need only make a phone call to a special sports centre that can categorically tell him what medicines he can and can't take...

If he is lying then tough luck....

The saddest part about it is that it was to be his last World Cup campaign, and he is a such a superb bowler to watch... So we wont see too much more of him and that is a big loss to fans

We don't need him anyway, strangely our selectors picked two leg spinners for the tour so maybe they knew something was up :rolleyes:
