Just got the PC version and I have an i7 with a sweet brand new fully updated GTX 570 with 8 gigs of ram. I run in ultra settings on DX11 with a nice framerate and my card is not getting hot at all. 10 minutes into the game it crashes, so I am thinking its an isolated incident start it up and BAM!! crashes 10 minutes into the game again. So I have tried over and over and over to play and get nothing but crashes. So I am now thinking I spent 60 bucks on a piece of plastic and a cardboard box because absolutely nothing on my end is the issue. All my games, BF3 beta, SWTOR beta, Rift, SC2, Crysis, and more all run smooth as butter with 0 issues. So is the game being fixed or are full refunds being offered?
There's a few things to consider:
1) Do you have the latest drivers for your video card, sound card, motherboard etc.?
2) Do you have the latest updates for the Microsoft .NET Framework, Visual C++ runtimes, and DirectX runtimes? Google is your friend with these - you should find them all easily.
3) Do you have the latest updates for Windows?
4) Do you have any anti-virus or firewall software that could be interfering?
5) Have you tried to verify the game cache integrity using Steam?
6) Have you tried lowering the game settings to see if that helps, including running in DirectX 9 mode?
It could be any number of issues, but giving more details and troubleshooting step-by-step will hopefully help.

1-yes
2-yes
3-yes
4-no
5-it doesnt mention that when you start the game up so no
6-why would I do that? I bought the game to play on DX11. I didnt spend 1500 bucks on my pc to play a game on DX9.
So what is this game cache integrity using steam?

So I come to the official forum and Eidos doesnt even respond with help? What is happening right now? This is some sweet customer service, maybe I should explain it more clearly. I PAYED FOR YOUR GAME AND IT DOESN'T WORK. Hello?

So I cant return the game now that I have opened it, so does Eidos give refunds for defective products? What does cache integrity using Steam mean? And why wouldnt a patch from Eidos fix that kind of wierd stuff for me?
As is stated in the FAQ the technical support forum is user to user. For official support please use:

Skerltch - As @m said, this is the forums, NOT official tech support.. Make sure you register a full issue with them, as they are the ones who track issues and supply `official` info.
As for #6 on sea's question. Reason for asking this is to try and determine if the issue is 100% with your setup or an option somewhere etc.
The cache integrity is a steam facility to double check all your files are as they should be, no data transfer errors etc. Did you download install or install off disc?
What version number are you seeing on the main menu?

Verifying youre game files is prob the first and easiest step to do ..
In Steam go to youre Game Library, then right click Deus ex Human Revolution and go to Properties (bottem tab)
Then go to the tab called Local Files, there you will find the option to "Verify Integrity Of Game Cache"
Even if they pass the file check, another alternative would be to simply delete the DXHR.exe from youre instalation directory,
let steam check youre files and it will download it again. thus making sure you have the latest/uncorrupted file

You're being a bit of a turd. You can do much more damage with subtlety and caustic words than you can screaming at everyone like you're on the O'Reilly factor. Hopefully now you have learned that you should research something before you buy it. Like for example looking on steam where the game is selling for $37.99. (See what I mean?)
Having played this game on multiple machines, you're going to spend a good amount of time getting the game to work wonderfully. It doesn't sound like you have the technical knowledge to really get deep into pc gaming. Game caches are the least of your problems and if that's a hangup now, my advice for you long term is buy a console unless you are willing to put in a lot of time on how to make it work. Given your current state of mind I can assure you the process will likely further enrage you as it's not as simple as clicking a few boxes. Might want to try to take it to the store for credit and get the xbox version or w/e.

All files verified (thanks for the help on that and sorry for my angry mood in previous posts)
Also to the other questions, I am playing off the game disc and my version 1.3.643.1
As soon as I logged on to check the version, steam patched the game so I am hopeful it will work and I can go ahead and enjoy the game now.
edit: Im on absolute max graphical settings, sitting between 60-70 fps, the GTX 570 is chilling around 50 degrees C and it doesnt seem to be crashing anymore! WOOT.
