Hello,
I am using a Nvidia Geforce 540M om Windows 7x64 with the newest WHQL-Driver (280.26) but it is only detecting my integrated Intel HD from my Core i5.
I have changed Nvidia settings to ensure that DXHR is running with my Geforce...
But DirectX 11 is greyed out, whatever i do:mad2:...
Please Help...
I will not play this game before it is running with DX 11...
Thx Hawk

Looks like it is a problem with steam.
After rebooting somebody has to go to the dxhr folder and to click dxhr.exe BEFORE starting steam...
Then it's working...

but that just runs the exe via steam anyways.. all steam does is run that exe too.. anyways, its working yeh? it allows you to use your GeForce chipset over the intel one?

Some laptops have both chipsets as the intel uses less battery so for non 3d stuff it uses that, but then when u turn on the gaming it switches BUT its not the most elegant system and can confuse as the intel chipset DOES 3d too so sometimes wont relinquish the role of `active chipset` :)

You could try disabling the integrated graphics in the bios settings, usually press 'del' on boot up. Be careful though if your inexeperienced using the bios, as you can mess the pc up.

it's a laptop with Nvidia Optimus which enables two grafic cards at the same time: the integrated for energy saving or the geforce for perfomance.
The Nvidia driver has a profile for dxhr.exe to enable the geforce...
If i click on the exe, the Nvidia-driver activates the geforce and starts steam in the background -> everything is fine...
If i start steam.exe first the wrong profile is activated...
I know the problem from other games.
The hardware detection cannot detect my geforce, but the game is running with the geforce...
Looks like the Optimus technology needs some optimizing ...

Ahh interesting.. have passed this on.. not sure if we can do anything with steam being the first exe so the one that the profile is activating on, but we can look :)

The workaround was not working everytime...
But i realized that it has something to do with power management...
In battery mode and acer powermanagement enabled -> DirectX 11 in DXHR is disabled...
I disable Acer Powermanagment, still in battery mode -> DXHR runs in DirectX 11
Looks like the Acer Powermanager is overruling the Nvidia Optimus Settings for longer battery life...
My Laptop is an Acer Aspire TimelineX 3830TG...
So if anybody else has the same problem -> press the blue button for switching powersaving off or dock with a power socket :)
