I was a huge fan of the original Deus Ex and when the reviews for Human Revolution looked positive, I pre-ordered the game. It's a shame when developers choose to take a PC classic and develop it primarily for consoles, but I heard the PC version would get special attention and I went ahead with my purchase. However, I'm having significant trouble with the mouse settings. I'm not surprised. Most console-ported games tend to have terrible mouse support. But I really expected better from Eidos. Here is what I think needs to be improved in a future patch. Until then, this game is going to remain on my shelf and I'm going to be a very pissed customer.
- numerical settings for mouse sensitivity. I like my mouse sensitivity to be the same across all the games I play. You can make this an option in a dev console or a configuration file. It doesn't matter. Just make it available so I can have more control over my sensitivity.
- provide an option for making the x and y axis sensitivities identical. This whole x/y axis garbage is a joystick phenomenon and doesn't belong with mouse settings.
- make the mouse more responsive. I don't know if there's mouse smoothing going on or what. I want my screen to completely and accurately reflect my mouse movements.
Please consider making these changes in a future patch.
