Hey all. Been enjoying this game a lot...except for one thing...posterization and color banding

I've noticed this effect as much on the start menu than in the game. Because of this, the sky looks plain ugly, colors don't blend well and it's looking plain ugly.
Any of you have this thing and managed to fix it, or at least alleviate it? Would it be a graphics card or monitor problem??
Specs: Phenom II X4 @ 3.6, ASUS GTX 560 Ti, 6gb DDR2-800. Playing at 1920x1080 with everything maxed out. Latest drivers set to High Quality in the nVidia control panel (so no image optimisation stuff...).
BTW, it's happening in other games too and for what I recall, it was not like that with my HD 6850.
