Sunrise and Snow [Pictures]

The flooding has gone down enough for me to resume my walk to work along the river. There was a beautiful sunrise this morning which I just have to share with you all.

Also - Flood water has now dropped almost enough to get back into the park

We are now enjoying a freeze and a dusting of snow. (While most of the rest of the country get enough to call a snowfall.)

View Island has re-emerged from the thames and is nearly accessable.

Saticon, do you know if that island was once on a program, I don't know whether it was animal hospital or pet rescue, but there was a donkey stuck on it and they had to get it off. It was maybe about a year ago now.

LARAMANIAC - I always knew that saying as Shepherds warning. :)

Jeffers - I can't recall a donkey ever being on that island. When I was a kid, it was a public park, then it became a private marina for many years and only recently re-opened to the public as a nature reserve. Of course, there are many small islands in the Thames and I'm sure there are more than one called View Island. :)

Yep, it's sailors alright. Unless you live in Kansas.
Shepherd or Sailor. Both are acceptable. I've heard it both ways, many times over the years.
