What are your plans? Assuming there are worldwide Midnight Releases, or even just whenever you get it what are you going to do?
Immediately drive home, install, play until dawn?
Go Home, eat while installing, sleep, then play the next day all day?
I'm curious as to what everyone is going to be doing other than the obvious answer: PLAYING DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION.
Me personally, and assuming Midnight Release: Drive to GS, (GameStop), pick up my copy, get food on the way home, drive like a madman back home, install the game to the HD, eat while installing, PLAY UNTIL MY EYES BLEED.
Just hope this Midnight Release won't be like the Halo Wars one. I was the only one there. :( Save like one guy who came in for a completely different game also released that eve.

Who knows what I'll be doing. However, when I get new games the first thing I do is make sure my gaming area is clean and spotless. From there it's installing the game or just running through the tutorial. The next day however is when I usually start playing.

There had better be a midnight release at Gamestop or there will be rioting in the streets

When I get the game, I shall endeavor to play it.

When I get the game, I will play it. Non-stop. Then once I've done that, I'll play it again. And again. Then after that I'll probably just look at the art book, listen to the OST, and watch that making of footage.
When my augmented edition arrives in the post from England two weeks after release, I will put it away for opening in November, since I'm only going to replace my RROD'ed xbox once I've finished uni. Until then I will be avoiding all gaming websites!

I'll be constantly refreshing the status updates of my carrier service between 26th and 28th...When it reads "out for delivery" I'll be running to the window every 10 minutes trying to spot the delivery van while my girlfriend declares me insane.
Then I'll start the installation process(after enjoying the smell of the freshly opened DvD case and artbook for a while) and inspect the other contents of my Augmented Edition while it installs.
Finally I'll tell my girlfriend that I'll not be available for any kind of conversation in the next few hours and just play and enjoy, probably while eating lasagna.:)

HAH! I like this! Too bad we don't have a Rep system otherwise I'd +REP you my friend. :)
An excellent response to a most anticipated game. Personally, I have also told my friends and family I will be completely unavailable until Deus Ex is done. Though, my fridge is fully stocked with all manner of junk food, pizzas, frozen dinners, and delicious lasagna. Assuming I get tired of this I shall use one of the three gift cards to order take out food from one of the local establishments. Only leaving to go to the bathroom, and sleep of course. Commitment. :D

Well I've pre-ordered it from Play.com, so when it pop's through the letterbox I'll rip off the cardboard packaging like a savage beast (maybe using my teeth). Tear into the box and slam the disc into my PS3. Next, while the game is installing, I will sit upright, staring at the screen and shivering. After installation, I shall play for one hour, then fall to the ground and start singing 'We are the Champions'.
(the bits in italic perhaps aren't true). Then play a little more. Afterwards I will go on these forums and read peoples thoughts on it, and perhaps post my own thoughts.

Stop rubbing it in! But if I did have a gaming PC, I would have even less chance of doing my uni work: every time I sat down to write my paper, there would be the game, calling to me...
Play it every second I'm not at work or sleeping. Probably won't be able to get it at midnight. I'll probably cry at some point.

I pre orded it so it will be shipped home to me, so I will pick the package from the mail box, open it, then I will takes a cup of coffee and look threw the artwork book and the manual, then once I feel happy about knowing how the game works I boot it up, let it install on my PS3 (while reading the manual one more time) and then play the heck out of it ^^
Considering I've played the leak I won't be in "play as fast as you can" mode, but will spend some time skimming the Guide first (Huge person for guides, with charts, maps, big pictures etc. I even got guides for games I haven't played...).

The day before, I shall be making sure my desk is immaculate! Clean keyboard and mouse, wipe screen... Then, I shall wait for my game to unlock on steam, hopefully it'll be pre-loaded, and play straight away :D And probably won't stop untill I'm ready to sleep~

Go out to EB Games and pick up my preorder, come home, clean desk and computer, rig up Surround Sound, get out junk food and drinks, close door.
Finish game, sleep.

I work until midnight, but there is a Gamestop less than two miles from my workplace. I *might* go get the game right after work (*if* there is a midnight release), or I might get it before work the next day. Depends on my mood.
Anyway, for those of you planning marathon gaming sessions, make sure you get up every so often for a break, unlike this guy: http://blog.games.yahoo.com/blog/866-xbox-addict-dies-from-blood-clot/
Me, I'm a smoker, but I don't smoke in the house, so I get up every couple hours to go outside for a smoke. I guess you could say that smoking is saving my life in this case.:D

My preorder's coming in from Amazon.ca so I have no idea how long it'll take to get to me.
I am taking about half a week off work though, just to play the game nonstop, until as they say "MY EYES BLEED."
Unfortunately my PC started randomly doing slowdown-stutters in any game, a problem it's never had before. MUST FIX IT BEFORE DXHR SHOWS UP. :mad2:

Aye, but it's completely fine to sit glued in front of X during daily life? Most people sit at work, while driving, while reading, watching tv...ultimately no different than sitting in front of a console. Of course, across billions the rarity of this condition probably speaks for itself...
Anyway, I have the steam version so it's preload and sleep for me. I'll time it to wake up a bit before gametime so I can ready up for a good session of the game. Will be nice to take a short break from Guild Wars. Been looking forward to this game like crazy.

What will i do? Well...
IF there's a midnight launch, i'll be there in my black jacket, possibly wearing shades if the mood takes me.
When they hand me the game at the counter i will state, "I never asked for this..."
As they go to take it back, i will grasp the cashiers wrist, and remove the game. You can't pick and choose these days. Take what you recieve.
THEN, if they try to palm me off with a manual. "please sir, you get the manual cheaper if you buy them together xD"
To which i shall respond, "I'm not big into books..."
Leave the establishment and head home under the gold tint of street-lights. What will follow will be a pain in the ass due to 'Steam's servers being unable to useable bull****' as i read the manual.
I can't wait.

It looks like it comes out on a Tuesday here in America. So I'll probably pick it up after school (we get out around 1300), take it home, install and play until I get too tired to play any more. I'll sleep, get up and go to school, come home and play more until I just can't play any longer. Repeat until finished. Then, start again. I expect that weekend will be dedicated to my second play-through. :)
I also suspect somewhere between my first and second play-through I'll write up a nice long review/impression for you guys and my Facebook page.

So hopefully, there'll be a pre-load a few days before the release
Just click and play, maybe an hour at a time so it can last a bit longer, and I can think and ponder over the game :P

Well, if the game comes early then I'll have to wait until Friday the 26th to play it because there will be a barrier stopping me from authenticating the game on Steam because I live in Europe.
Other than that, I'll be playing it non-stop on that Friday and the whole weekend.

I'll wait a week or two and see what ya'll think about it before I drop 60 bucks on it. But either way, I'll wait until the fever dies and buy it when it hits 25 or 30, if it all.

If it's indeed German-only for German 360s with no English-language DLC option, then I'll go to the gym, work out a bit, pick up the game on the way back (I pre-ordered, so I don't have to worry about my precious Limited Edition selling out on Day One), head home, shower, eat, and then play the game.
If there is an option for me to play the game in English on a German 360 without having to import it... then ignore all steps above except for "pick up game, head home, and play" :P

Install it on the Xbox 360's hard drive, smell the manual, read the manual, smell the manual again, anxiously look at my TV every 5 seconds to see if it finished installing, beg the 360 to install faster, start the game, ignore massive erection, play for about 8-10 hours the first day.

^^LOL THIS.
Considering I made this thread when there were still in July, I think it is appropriate to resurrect it.
Also, Audiophile, you may want to see a shrink about that. I don't think games are supposed to do that...at least certain games.

I'm actually on holiday during release and don't get back until a week and a half afterwards, so on release day? Not much. When I get back the first thing I do will be to install it from Steam, but until then?

Meh, after listening to the German dub, there is NO way I'm going to play it without the original voices. It would be a total deal killer for me. And then importing the game was also much cheaper (about half the price of buying it here), and nets more extras.

9 days for me...
Since I get all of my pre-orders from Amazon, I'll spend about 4 to 6 straight hours wishing the UPS guy would hurry up and deliver the game already... probably while watching reruns of Law and Order Criminal Intent.
Then... play the game. What else?
Oh... I do agree with others though, new games smell amazing. <_<
