How deal with error: "batman arkham asylum failed to initialize nvidia physx"?

I have been playing and having no problem with the game. Now, when I started to play it, I got this error: "batman arkham asylum failed to initialize nvidia physx. You must install nvidia physx software to play." (The wording on the second part may not be exact but is the general idea. Do I need to reinstall the whole program? If so, is there anyway to keep my saved games and material I've opened? What do I do?

yes ,my copy is legal
i am using nvidia GT 435M
,,no it is not patched,,,,help me

i have updated my laptops and nvidia graphic card drivers,,,,still same error,,,will patching the game to v1.1 fix this?
