I haven't posted anything in a while but I have been following all the updates about Deus Ex HR, since I'm a huge fan of the franchise. But I did not see any pictures of the Montreal hub (if it's going to be a hub). We saw Detroit and Shangai but that's it. Is anyone aware of some images/footages of the Montreal map ?

only artwork, sorry
It would be a cool easter egg if you found JJB and JFD at the montreal pub.

no jokes about JJB already having the leading role?
It's understandable within the story, why AJ visits Shanghai, Hong Kong and Phildelphia, but Montreal? I'm curious to see what brings AJ to Canada...
I'm thinking Canadarm / Robotics...

Because Montreal is AWESOME? lol
Seriously, I have no idea what he'd be doing here, unless he just wants to get drunk with some Quebecois. I wonder if there'll be a lot of French-speaking NPC's, since most of Montreal is french

Just like Paris NPC's in the first game right?
Oh wait...

Hopefully we'll at least have some bad french accents
If they had full-blown Quebecois-french characters, we would need subtitles. I've lived here all my life and I still can't understand half of what the people with heavy accents say :)

We've still got one unrevealed city destination haven't we? I'm hoping for somewhere exotic, or good old not so exotic London.

If they respect Deus Ex's tradition of 3 hubs per game, then there is no unrevealed city, only Detroit, Shangai and Montreal. But I remember an interview/article in which it mentionned that we would see five different cities in the game...so I don't know.
Oh and Philadelphia ? I did not know that. Apparently Milwaukee is confirmed. But I don't know if those cities are going to be hubs or just a single map, like the Liberty Statue (New York) in Deus Ex Invisible War.
This could also mean the first Deus Ex without a map in Europe.

Which would be odd, considering the Renaissance influence

I would have loved to see a location like Paris or the Mediterranean where one could visit classical renaissance architecture with retrofitted cyber-renaissance elements over them, it could have made for some truly powerful imagery... there's always hope for some substantial excursions in DLC though.

Milwaukee? Where did you read about that? I know absolutely zero about that city.
It certainly has the right colour scheme at night.

But montreal is a more down to earth city so...let's wait and see how it ends..

You're assuming Montréal is a hub. This hasn't been confirmed AFAIK.

I assumed Montreal would be a hub city because it was part of the 3 locations that were originally announced. But you're right, it could be a one level map and not a hub...which would be a disappointment for me (it'd still buy the game though, obviously).
@mentalkase, check this link out http://deusex.wikia.com/wiki/Milwaukee
Maybe we'll have something like this : Shangai-hub, Detroit-hub with missions around North America (Montreal, Milwaukee, Philly) and then another hub, maybe in Europe.
Also, in that artwork, the buildings have been moved around. It looks like the Olympic Stadium made a leap jump into downtown.

Oh ok thanks for that, I guess in my attempt to not get too many spoilers I hadn't read about that mission being set in Milwaukee.
I hope we do get a hub in Europe. The mixture of old and new architecture in DX was something I really liked, and with modern graphics an old European city with slightly futuristic elements could be a really interesting environment to explore.

I noticed that too. Maybe Montreal just grew that much. I hope it's relatively faithful to the real deal, seeing as the game's being dveloped here and all...
I wonder if they'll have any real barsin-game? I doubt it, but it would be cool to see Hatter's or PJ's :D

Since we have seen shots of Montreal at day and at night, I'm guessing there's more than one map, unless he was flying out of the city somewhere else.
London or I'm not buying :D
Whatever happens in Montreal it's going to be very good, because if it is not, it will look quite subjective, rather than objective planning. I'm sure EM would have considered this at the planning stage, not to end up looking like fans who want to be in the game, at the expense of giving us a good credible story.

Well according to this video, Montreal is the going to be where the TV set level will happen.
They're only talking about 3 locations but obviously there will be more. They did not mention if Montreal is going to be a hub though.

Haha yeah I actually edited that wiki page (it used to say Milwaukee the city was in DXHR) after I noticed something was wrong (how the heck is Adam gonna stop an imminent hostage crisis in 30 minutes when he needs to fly to WISONSIN?)
Milwaukee Junction is an industrial area in Detroit. Or former industrial area. It was the capital of the automotive industry in the 1920s
I vote for a southern hemisphere city. Or somewhere equatorial, between the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn.

I think pretty much it's Philadelphia, Illuminati/dollar bill/Nicolas Cage stuff
It was stated also that DXHR covers events "up to the formation of UNATCO", which is based in Liberty Island. It's 1am here when every brit is drunk on cider, so I can't remember, does the statue get bombed before or after the inception of UNATCO?

Before. UNACTO was formed directly in response to the bombing. Then again, they bombed it, so you know.

From the Mirror interview :
"Not ones to exclude their hometown, Montreal makes a brief appearance in the game, as Jensen visits a re-purposed Olympic Stadium that houses media conglomerate Picus Communications.
“Montreal was originally going to be a full hub,” admits Belletête, who says he has an impressive secret stash of discarded Montreal artwork. “I envisioned what the Plateau might look like, because there was going to be a house Jensen would have to infiltrate there. In our early tech demos, the first city we put together was the Plateau, based on the brick duplexes and triplexes with spiral staircases. It was honestly really stunning to see it in a 3D environment because to people who aren’t from here it looked so unique, but if you live here it was quite touching. We even modelled it.”
Guess no Montreal hub. Sadface.

Of course theres no city hub if Montreal, they spent half the damn budget on these live action ads.
I will be really happy if they do release those as DLC later(missions where Jensen was supposed to go earlier).
