Help with Sanctuary!

I hate to admit being stuck this early, but I'm stuck in 'Snowy Mountains' of the Sanctuary of Water, Ice, and Fire.

I've managed to get to the 'courtyard' (I guess) with the broken/destroyed column, and I have no idea what else to do. I'm figured out that I need to find the crowbar, but I'm so confused and lost! lol I've been exploring around for probably an hour, and have no idea what to do.

What do I need to do?!? :p lol

No 1: DON'T SEARCH FOR THE CROWBAR! It's not in that level...

No 2: See that purple column? You need to use that to get in the upper cave... (see pic). From that ledge (see pic) take a running jump onto the purple column and then jump again towards the cave and grab the edge.

Well, the settings on my computer have gone crazy again, so I can barely see the picture you posted.

But I think I got what I'm supposed to do. I jump from the ledge onto the sloping part of the column, and then jump again to grab the ledge to the cave?

I figured out that I needed to get up into the cave, but I kind of dismissed using the column to get up there. :p Guess I shouldn't have! lol Thanks! :)

Sanctuary of Fire: I've just killed the two horsemen, and I'm lost on what to do. I see the ropes hanging down, but I don't know how to get to them. :confused:

I've also pulled the switch near where I got the Uzis. But, I don't know how to reach the ledge on the other side of the room.

You're in the part with the light shining on the grave (?), right?
Well, you can reach the first rope from the platform where the big doors opened..... The monkey bars don't work anymore.... ;)

Light shining on the grave? :confused: I don't think so. I'm just at the beginning of the level still.

I swam though a tunnel, and arrived in a room with golden double doors, and giant red statues on each side (and I think about the doors is a Star of David). Two horsemen come out, and I've dispatched of them already. That's as far as I've gotten in this room.

In the room before this one (where you start out the level at), I'm turned off a fire in a jug (I guess), and I'm trying to figure out how to get to the platform/ledge on the other side of the room. It looks like there are stairs on the platform.

Does this help anymore to describe where I'm at?

I know where you are... First of all you need to make sure you have shot the star above the double golden doors. Got it? Now turn and face away from the doors, and go back through the underwater tunnel into the first room in the level. Then climb up the ladder in that room, and re-enter through the top where there is now an open doorway into the area with the doors, and you can jump to a platform from which you can reach the ropes.

Did you find the Uzis yet? And there is also an evil secret that is well worth looking for in this area...

oh, and do you have a "stone of fire" from the previous level?

so many things to think about!

Well, thanks to CyCro, while the forums were down, I managed to get past this part. But thank you though! :)

I'm in Sanctuary of Ice, and enjoying it so far......except for that evil bull! Bah!! :p

I'm in the underwater part of Snowy Mountains now. I've reached the waterfall pillar, but I haven't found a way up it so far, where I don't slide off immediately. What's the easiest approach to begin the ascent? (woo! big words tonight! :p)

Well, I figured it out by myself (woohoo! go me ;)), and whoever would've guessed that water can fall up? :p

I've now made it to The Sanctuary of Water/The Bridge....and what the heck do I do about the 2 guardians?!?! (I guess that's what I should call them) I've tried to escape them, but died both times! (I jumped off the bridge.....I know not to do that now!)

Those hammer gods! Nasty things, aren't they... but the one at the top (in the Bridge level) can be trapped and kept out of the way if you get him to follow you down to the little room on the right as you run into the scales room. Then look for something to shoot...

There is a cross to shoot in this room - and it is not the only cross that can be destroyed in this game!

I emailed the admin, he said the servers were down and waiting for parts to be delivered so they could be fixed. That's why it took so long.

Anyway, I've been playing Sanctuary - was stuck a couple times, but your post helped, V_Croft, I tried that jump, but in this game you have to keep trying... love that blue bull - LOL :D

Well, now I've found and placed the "Evil Thoughts Crystal", but can't figure out where to look next...

I'd guess, since this crystal was in the "Fire" direction, that the next crystal should be in the "Ice" direction, but can't find anything - any clues ???

Hey JimJuno (boy....does that sound strange)(heard about your difficulties with your old username) got through with Sanctuaries a couple of weeks ago, and enjoyed it immensely. Got stuck (as usual) and had to resort to a w/t. Great scenes, sounds and quests to fulfil. Good luck with it! That central fountain/pool area was just amazing!

Hey Boo - yes, the scenery is great, and the challenges, all sorts of them, are really keeping me busy !!!

I played Nightfire, then started NOLF, but that mouse thing still bothers me... plus, all you're doing is shooting - very little exploring / puzzle solving - I still like TR the best, hope the custom games keep coming !!!

I think my name prob is my autocomplete isn't working right, or something like that - I'm on my "spare" puter now, registered with a different email address - do you know anything about this prob ??? Maybe I'll put it on the Community Chat - the webmaster doesn't answer my emails... prolly still busy fixing that prob they had, when the whole thing went down...

Sooo, found the water that goes up... now I made that harrowing jump, bouncing off the ledge (I tried it in the beginning, and decided it wasn't meant to be tried...HA!!!) to get the snowmobile over to the really hard jump - still trying -

I got a problem when tried to play!! The game crashs to desktop before enter the menu!! I don't know what to do!! I follow the instructions from .txt file!! This is sad!!

Are you sure you 've overwriten the strings.h and the script.dat and the English.dat file? Otherwise the game will crash to desktop........ :confused:
If it doesn't help, try installing it again, or even download it again..... ;)

wriggle, I D/L from LCO - it's an "easy install". Change to .exe and play - no overwriting.

Thanks, Boo - I got a couple necessary hints from this post - into "The Bridge" now...

bene - I forgot about LCO's DLs - I had to try Sanctuary twice to get it to run also...
