Hi there,
I recently got Just Cause 2 in a steam sale, and I really love it.
I had no trouble with it for a long time, until one day when it crashed a few minutes after startup.

The trigger seems to be random i.e. I could be flying a plane or running around and it could freeze, however I have noticed if it does not crash within the first 10 minutes, it will not crash at all. ( I have had sessions where it does not crash)

Nothing seems to fix it, however when i validate files on steam, it seems to download something (No idea what).

Any help is much appreciated

Join the club...Im getting just about the same thing....can maybe play it for 2-15 minutes....screen freezes...goes black....but then you can still hear the game and what your doing...I tried everything I found when I googled the problem...I cant figure this out...Im doing no OC'ing at all....replaced a PS, replaced brand new memory, lowered the command rate on the memory form 1T to 2T, refresh rate command to 60hz in the launch options, I finally uninstalled it, and re-downloaded it on Steam. Ill let you know if it helped...I still think its something on the driver side of the video card.

I have read lots of people with that problem (Where the game sound plays in the background)
However, after testing if this was the case, I cannot hear the sound play in the background. It simply plays the last sound (Like the wind in a parachute) or plays nothing at all.

Thanks for the help though
