Just finished my first playthrough of Fallout: New Vegas, I believe it is superior to Fallout 3, but will not know for sure until I've finished a second playthrough. Buy this game, A.S.A.P.!
What do YOU think?

I have to say, Fallout New Vegas gave me so much more joy than Fallout 3 did, basically i came in expecting just a few odd features. And thats what i got, BUT MORE.
The features blend in so well with the final product and the roleplaying elements and better skills and weapon variety gave this game a truly immersive masterpiece.
Plus ultra multi endings own.

Yeah, I liked New Vegas more too, although FO3 is still awesome.
But, they both got nothing on Fallout 2.

I really hope Bethesda gets all this Fallout stuff out of their system really fast and starts working on the next Elder Scrolls game. I enjoyed Borderlands much more than Fallout.

Fallout 2 was an instant classic and I love all these little things in New Vegas that remind me of good ol' Fallout 2 days.
However, I did enjoy Fallout 3 way more than New Vegas. The Hardcore mode is amazing, and the fact that all the animals have different variations (such as young, small, and such). To me Fallout 3 had more enjoyable side quests, but than again I'm only 50 hours in New Vegas (due to 11 hour shifts at work LOL).

The question is...which ending? I'm planing on doing Independent run as I hate Mr. House and NCR/Legion can go screw a goat.

You mean the one where you take over New Vegas yourself? Yeah, that's the one I did.
Telling the NCR to go screw themselves will be remembered as legendary bad-assery for eons to come.

Too bad the developers made the same mistake as Bethseda and made it so that when you complete the main storyline the game ends permanently

Lol, you do realise they only made it so you cant continue afterwards due to the mass amounts of work and they had to reach a deadline.
it says to yu before you do the final mission if you want to, so you can decide not to to troll around and finish everything else.

Alright , i Think i'm about to do something stupid and actually buy New Vegas in the following week ...
Stupid because i said i was going to buy it next year once the special edition with all the DLCs comes out together ... but oh well , i saw a few copies that were surprisingly cheap for a game that is barely a month old ...
Plus , who knows , maybe the DLCs wouldn't be worth it , right ? ...
Anywya , given how it's still hard for me to get 'rid' of this habit of mine of playing games in a complicated way on my first playthough (instead of you know , playing it on Normal , like every normal people) , i've been thinking of making my first playthrough on Hardcore mode but without using VATS ...
Is it playable or it's going to be a frustrating experience ? ...

VATS sucks in this game. It's possibly to do a Hardcore mode without it. It's not going to be easy, but just put the difficulty on Normal and you should be good.
I think you will enjoy New Vegas if you liked FO3.

Plus there are plenty of things you can do to make the game ball-burstingly hard. I suggest putting your intelligence below 4

Don't even bother with that. Wait until the holidays and either steam or GOG.com will have the same three games for about the same price, with the added benefit of patches, bonus materials and the fact that you can download it as much as you want.

VATS sucks in New Vegas ? how so ? ...
Anywya that was what i was thinking , playing on Normal , with Hardcore , but no VATS ...
In fact at the moment i'm doing a Normal no VATS run on Fallout 3 , it's a whole new game to me ... think i'll have to finish my run before getting anywhere near Vegas ...
I think you will enjoy New Vegas if you liked FO3.
I never doubted it ...
But , by the way , now that you're playing it ... why wasn't New Vegas called Fallout IV ? ...

New Vegas DLC pack announced ...
In other words it's that side quest that could have been in the game in the first place ...
Bethesda's detailed the first DLC pack for Fallout: New Vegas, Dead Money, which will release exclusively on Xbox Live on December 21.
As the victim of a raw deal Dead Money has you working alongside three other captured wastelanders to recover the legendary treasure of the Sierra Madre Casino, says Bethesda.
"In Dead Money, your life hangs in the balance as you face new terrain, foes, and choices. It is up to you how you play your cards in the quest to survive," it adds.
"We're pleased to give fans a chance to expand their experience in Fallout: New Vegas this December with Dead Money," said Pete Hines, VP of PR and Marketing for Bethesda Softworks.
"The release of Dead Money illustrates our commitment to creating entertaining add-on content for players to enjoy in already massive games like Fallout: New Vegas."
Dead Money will be available for 800 Microsoft points.
PS: with a title like 'Dead Money' , wonder if there won't be any reference to that Danish game with them nicely dressed hobos ...

- 'Dead Money' is a poker term, for more information check on wikipedia, because i didn't catched a thing ...
- Interesting to note that two of IO Interactive's titles were 'Blood Money' and 'Dead Men'. Surely it must be just a coincidence ...
- The plot premise of Dead Money seems to be an homage/parody of John Huston's 1948 black & white film, "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre".
Expect disappointment ...
The add-on has only been announced and we've already got trivias for it !!! ...
