Some of you might remember me as Brother Avalon. Well, apparently Eidos doesn't really like that persona, because I never ever ever received my confirmation email to the email account I normally use for this Forum, so I had to recreate myself. Rather stinky, but I decided that until I can get some help from an Eidos employee who will actually take the time to email me back (I'm so glad that Grey Mouser is still here, such the reliable and trustworthy moderator), this one will have to do.

GREETINGS!!! It's been a long time. I still have the same crappy computer, but my guitar rig has definitely increased. I have missed the community. What new and exciting things have happened since my leave of absence? I hope you haven't missed me too much. Heck, forget that, I would appreciate if I was missed!

BTW, I recently graduated from Florida State University. Recently as in last Saturday. :D Needless to say I'm rather ecstatic. I'll be accepting graduation gifts until I have enough loot to purchase a drum set or new computer or both. *cue mischevious facial expressions* What is the word???

Silly me....I thought this was gonna be one of those Alarus Extenstion type threads.:D

Congrats on the graduation.

I'm a duck walkin' daddy myself. What kind of rig are you using?

My main performance rig is pretty simple but works for me.

Guitar: Carvin DC 127 + Taylor 310CE
Amp: Carvin X100B (all tube except the rectifier) + 2 x 12 Cab.
Effects: Boss GT6

Welcome back.

Oh yes, we remember you! Where you been? Glad you found us once again. GM, (Grey Mouser) could probably give you your old name back.
With the new switch over, that happened to a lot of people, not being able to post, etc, etc. So, you weren't the only one that happened to. Ask GM about it, if you want your old name back, and if you act now! For only $19.95, Act now, and ask GM, he'll even give you your old registration date back. So hurry, don't delay! Operators are standing by. ;) :p

My rig is prett extensive right now, I still have to get my other amp out of the shop, but right now...

Guitars: ESP LTD Horizon H100; Fender Mexican Strat; 1979 Ovation UK2 solidbody (yes they do exist, and they rawk); Takamine cutaway acoustic/electric tuned to CGDG(G, A, C)D, try out that tuning, it's amazing.
Amps: Fender Ultimate Chorus 2x12 (in the shop); Fender Stage 100 single 12".
Effects: Two MXR Dynacomps; Crybaby Wah; Ibanez TS7 Tubescreamer; Rocktron Hush rack unit; Line6 DL4 Delay Modeler.

I'm currently "jonesing" for a Mesa/Boogie Nomad 55 4x10 combo and an awesome Samick knockoff of the old flat-top Gibson P-90-loaded electric. Good to see other peeps on here wailin' it up on the six-string. Thanks for the welcome back!

BrokenArts, it's good to see you again. I've been here, not playing Thief as I would like to have done, I still haven't beaten Thief Gold. Haven't even played it in probably two years. Ick. I'm probably so rusty... I'll get with GM on that, thanks!

Welcome back Brother Avalon

Knew it was you right off the bat the alias clued me before I even opened the post.

So as a graduate, unemployed, guitar freak, what's next on the agenda? :D :D

I have a 1972 Takamine D-18 copy, Passive pickup, Fish and chips equalizer, that I run through a Beringer and a Tascam Multi track.

The sound feed goes through a Fisher tube preamp amp and two towers with 15" woofers and threeway X-over. Final recording is done on a Sony 15" R to R at 15 ips.

As I only use it at home I can have a blast (pun intended) and then DL to the puter to toy with.

Hey, theBlackMan! Good to see a familiar face! I figure most of the "veterans" will recognize me. :D Next on my agenda is full-time employment, most likely at Burdine's department store where both of my roommates work as upper-level employees, going with my older roommate tomorrow to see what we can do. Gotta work! Need income.

So you're very much on the acoustic circuit! Unfortunately my acoustic tastes far exceed my wallet, I'm holding out until I have enough for a Taylor, most likely equipped with Fishman toys. :D You got any recordings online to share? I got some...

Do tell! Good to talk to you again, friend!
