Can't disarm bombs at Casino! PLEASE HELP!

Okay, I've seen a few posts on this issue with absolutely ZERO real help. Here's the dilemma.

On the second mission, where you have to disarm the breaching charges on the casino, I can't disarm the charges. I make sure NO ONE is shooting at me, I made sure NO numbers are bound to anything in my control scheme, I updated my video driver, rebooted my computer, uninstalled/reinstalled the game - NOTHING will let me disarm the bombs!

I walk up to them and press E. The four-digit codes come up just fine, but I press my number keys and/or numpad keys and NOTHING HAPPENS!! Someone please tell me how to fix this so I can actually play this awesome game!

I tried SquareEnix support. They basically told me to shove it and didn't do jack squat for me.

I'd check your control settings to make sure that your keys didn't get remapped by accident.

I always use the number keys above the letter keyboard,also,i have found if you try and type the numbers in quickly it does not work,you need to input the numbers slowly,i hope you understand what i meen,and i hope this fixes your issue,as you are missing out.Only other thing to ask is where did you get the game from

Maby re-setting the keys, I mean changing the lay out.. maby that will help?
