Weekend challenges live

New patch is live today. It should fix the freezin issue, among other things, and it brings along weekend challenges as well. Read the official statement below.

Today Io Interactive is launching Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days Weekend Challenges.

The multiplayer Weekend Challenges will be broadcast via in the in-game infocast and invite players to compete in a heist test to be the best.

Dedicated leaderboards will be generated for each challenge, allowing gamers to track their proficiency against others.

In this weekend’s challenge you compete to get the biggest stash of cash across all 3 of the multiplayer modes. Future challenges will be communicated via the in-game infocast.

In Kane & Lynch 2’s critically acclaimed multiplayer modes, Fragile Alliance, Undercover Cop and Cops & Robbers, you’ll need eyes in the back of your head. More than $1 trillion has already been stolen, but greed to win can only lead to betrayal and revenge.

Patch has been underway for some time but Microsoft had a cert blackout right when we launched, which meant that we couldn't sumit straight away. It's been added as fast as we could. Hopefully, this will help.

Oh well...........hope it fixes everything that people where having issues with. I'll definately pick it up again at some point over the next few weeks now I can play the campaign PROPERLY cause I still think the game is really good.

Thanks for making the effort IO ..........not got much to say about Eidos or Square however.........or Microshaft for that matter.

Thanks Nick for keeping us all informed. Though when I booted my Xbox 360 this Morning, I did not receive said Patch, is it available for download to the Public just like all auto-updates?

while challenges seem cool is there any actual point to doing them? any extra XP or anything? or is it just for fun. you guys should do it like rockstar does. if you complete there challenges you unlock stuff like cheats. couldnt IO toss a free mask or something to people who complete these challenges. just something to think about.

I'm still trying to understand the whole purpose of this. It appears on the options menu in multiplayer, but are there supposed to be some game or challenges listed there as well? Or is it just to show who's top dog for that week and so on.

yeah, this weeks is who can earn the most money in all 3 MP modes. im assuming once you get some cash in all 3 modes it'll show where you stand with everyone else who's done that. the challenges scroll on the ticker up top. the purpose is just for bragging rights as far as i can tell.
