Is there a free program on the web that can be used to create background music for my level? I really want to create my own background music.

Theres a program called Rebirth but it only does
Electronic music, and it simulates a moog synth

To help you out a bit, I did a google search for the Rebirth program and this is what I came up with

There is a free previous version of it, but I could only find it for Mac.

There are several more programs, so I'd have to recomend you doing your own search to find the perfect one.

Acid Style by Sonic Foundry (makers of Sound Forge) makes it pretty simple to put together some sophisticated tracks.
