...that the shakycam effect was causing most of my lag in the PC demo. Turned it off, and everything's running a lot smoother now.

I like the effect, but I guess it looks like I'm gonna have to go without. Turning on steadycam also disables the cool "wind whooshing" effect when you sprint, too. :(

It's just like that little haptic feedback feature on your touchscreen phone. It's cool for about 15 minutes, then you turn it off and never think twice about it.
