DirectX Error Code 2

Hi,

I´m getting error code 2 on startup and the game is not launching.
It can obviously not be a gfx card problem as with most other cases, as I am using a Radeon 4870 which should definitely be supported.
(Other specs: Quad Core 2.33 GHz, 4 GB RAM, Vista SP2, DirectX 10, Catalyst 10.6)
I already tried reinstalling DirectX, gfx drivers and running the thing in admin mode.
Any ideas ?

Yes i am getting this same error as well except its code 3. Eidos really needs to address the people having these problems because there are many many people who have this problem and eidos has completley neglected this issue that so many people are having. As i have done research,googled it, called my computers distributer for help and there is still no way to fix this problem. I am very upset that eidos has not addressed this problem yet.

Same thing with me man, it's driving me nuts and i think that Eidos needs to fix whtever it is beacuse im not wasting 40 bucks. my system requiremnets are perfect and it still wont run. WTF! :mad2:
