Don't know if this could be a good or a bad thing.
It's bad if they don't manage to fix some of the problems in multiplayer, but if they do, it could be a really good move, anticipatipating mafia2 and take all the attention.

This offers us a nice window for release, allowing gamers to get their hands on it a week earlier than planned. A formal announcement on the date change will be coming this week - I'm guessing tomorrow.

Yes. I'm not sure to what extent but the QA guys and the design lead have been all over the feedback. We'll likely update you later.

No , really , the original release date for Europe was August Twenty Seventh , which just happened to be , in a marvelous coincidence , Kane's birthday ...

And all this just to push the release ONE Week Earlier ? ...

And , if the game has gone Gold now ... the issues players have been addressing for the multiplayer , they're going to stay in it , right ? When a game goes gold it means all the development is over , finished , complete ...
