Official K&L2:DD Xbox Beta Game Arrangements

I decided, due to the fact that the people on xbox are getting a beta, as well as many others, we should arrange games every now and then at a certain time to play with each other.

I propose all xbox live users add me, MxOAgentJohnson : And from July 2nd onwards, we shall play a few rounds of fragile alliance from 7PM GMT Time.

This will help us that a friendly bunch of people are able to experience the game as intended, rather than getting spawn killed, having to traitor in self defence, and underage children screaming down the microphone.

One thing I think we should do is set up a Metatag. Basically, we create one gamertag that has a name relevant to the K&L universe. Some kind of group or collective that we could unite under. And then we have someone manage the metatag and have everyone who wants to play with others from here add it as a friend. This way it keeps our friends lists a little cleaner but at the same time lets us keep an eye on the others from this forum.

I'd offer to create and manage the tag if we decide to do it and vote on a name, but that's up to you guys. I'd just like to be able to create a little more permanence for myself with this community, and helping everyone here be able to meet up and send game invites using the metatag would be a good way for me to do that. But again, this is up to you guys.

I'm aware you planned this, but the Metatag would allow you to have your buddy list relatively cleaner than adding the dozens of people who may eventually flock here once the demo hits. Xbox Live accounts only have a limit of 100 friends anyways I believe, so my idea was more for keeping everyone's friends lists open for more friends for other games as well while still letting them keep in contact with other fans.

I don't really know how often you use your gamertag for other things anyways, but most other communities I go to we use the metatag system and it works out great for us. Just thought I'd mention it here to see how people felt about it, again I won't act on it unless a majority here feel it would be the right way. :D

Seen as though the only reason i ever go on Xbox is to play games i cant run on PC, and play Fragile Alliance, it would be best, im constnatly on now that i've fully finished education and im only adding dedicated players to my list to play

Its not gonna be in the 20-30 area, more like 10-15 people who are regular on forums and can arrange a few friendly gaems, heck this forum was only really aimed at Jack, One of Seven, and the other Xbox users here but i didnt really think it would be this succesful.

Your metatag is a good idea but im sure as hell not making it a gold, heck if you want ill make the metatag now, got nothing else to do, but its really a matter of i had planned everything to go and its all sorted, i have to just get details of when your doing stuff so i know who is a potential player each day.

We've never had a gold metatag, since it doesn't play the game it doesn't need to be. It just acts as an auxilary friends list, so I could manage adding names to the tag while you could still perform the act of setting up the events and gamertags to send invites to from the metatag.

What do ya think? I mean, if you honestly believe it's only going to be 10-15 people then it would be overkill but just in case things to pick up it is an option to look into.

Uh, yeah? If the community picks up a bit of participation from newcomers then keeping tabs on a tag would require me to be much more active. You see, I haven't posted much on the forums until now because I felt like I didn't have anything that quite needed to be said. Now that i've started posting though, I'm getting into the community. Managing the metatag would give me another way to stay active in the community.

It's honestly not in any way "Jumping into" your plan. It's merely another way of doing things that I suggested we look into doing, and I offered myself for the job for the reasons above. Again, I wouldn't be the one making the events and sending invites to games. I would just be maintaining a list of players for ease of access and cleaner friends lists. That's all this is.

I used to run a massive community of about 25,000 people across 10 different steam games on my own, i was funded by a sponsor and we had the community running on numerous source games for 1 year until life got in the way, the community was closed the forums and website were closed and the people went to other communities, i think i can handle 10-30 people.
