Here I am, asking for insight from anyone who has it. I've played the Hitman series since the beginning - well, I fell in love with Hitman Silent Assassin, and then of course, Hitman Contracts.
What I can't understand for the life of me, is how Eidos released Blood Money, with all of it's eye candy, they lost something very important... the realism of the original.
Example, in Blood Money, when you shoot someone with a pistol, or a machine gun for that matter, and their body jerks ridiculously, head forward, then jerks back again, yelping - that's just stupid.
Remember in the 1st game, how you'd shoot a Russian in the head at the train station, and death was instantaneous - as it would be in real life.
In Blood Money, this isn't the case. I wish someone could explain to me why they released a game with so many flaws in the actual game play, the sluggishness of loading and firing weapons etc. And why the hell hasn't eidos released another installment of the game??? It's like they ALMOST got it all right, but not quite!

So my post has had some views, but no comments? What's the point of posting at all? Does this forum ever have comments posted by anyone who actually works at Eidos?

You probably didn't get any response because your 'question' seems more like a matter or personnal opinion , so even if someone from Eidos or IO answers to you , the response will be something like "well , that was the style we were aiming for , sorry you didn't liked it" ...
Personally i thought Blood Money was a masterpiece , the more i think of it the less i actually wants to see a new Hitman (even though we all know it is coming) , because i fear that the next one might not be as epic , huge , and well , brilliant as Blood Money was ...
But of course this is my opinion , and already see a lot of people who much prefered Contracts and Silent Assassin , so in the end ... in the end there's nothing we can do but to wait ...

For all it's worth, I prefer Blood Money to the other two titles. I know that the killing may not occur as quickly as can be noted in the earlier games and the reloading can seen lengthy, but for me personally, I prefer the additional challenge. The realism of reloading should not be instant no matter how well trained 47 is and the added time needed for a person to drop in their tracks after being shot seems in line for me. Like gnrGrievous mentioned, it comes down to personal opinion. My preference just happens to be that I play Blood Money more than the other two combined. :)

Blood Money is great.
I have SA and Contracts, but I rarely play them, because they are too unsure.
You have tension wherever you go. I mean, the series is awesome, their theme is sneaking-penetrating.
Penetrating: Grabbing a disguise, assuming someone's identity, penetrating a guarded area, and then killing the target(s).
In the Hitmans before, you would always have tension, which, in my opinion, is unrealistic at times.
Sure, any Russian would be surprised to see a Danish/American type albino walking motionlessly in their ranks, but also, no one would expect, in real life, for an assassin to take off his clothes and put another person's clothes on, so there shouldn't be that much tension over it.
I like it how, In blood money, you, without notoriety that is, almost never go to yellow tension when walking around with your disguise.
I like the idea of Hitman 5, and I hope there will be more nighttimes and penetrating in that as well. Apartment Buildings, et cetera.
I don't see how you could think that when a person is shot in the head or chest, he will be laying, motionless, in the ground after 0.5 seconds.
But, you have a point, in Blood Money, people do not have a lot of resistance to bullets, 1 bullet almost anywhere except the legs will kill. And of course there's not much realism in a shot gun shut throwing the body round and round, maybe a meter away from the shot. With the person not doing anything at all, for like, waving with his/her hands or something.
But I think Blood Money is going to the right direction, I can't think that Hitman SA or Contracts are that good compared to Blood Money. The only thing I can think that could make SA or Contracts better, is the story and levels, and style.
But when talking technological, Blood Money is an improvement. A good one.

I'm not sure what your trying to say about "tension" but as for an assassin putting on another persons for disguise, believe or not it's a real tactic used in real life ever watch the news you'll here about someone dress as a doctor to gain access to a patient. It happens in real life may not work as well as it does in the game but its been done before.
They made some additions but right from the door you see when your about to die and it goes to that slow motion mode you can't pause the game to restart making it a slow and very annoying death. That same problem happens when your reloading guns you can't pause or change weapon during this time. Never had those problems with Contracts and it seem the game I had the most problem with in this way was with BloodMoney .
This is not why I think contracts is better though, Contract simply had better style better missions.

Hi,
Hitman Blood Money is simply wonderful, better than most games today. In Blood Money, this isn't the case. I wish someone could explain to me why they released a game with so many flaws in the actual game play,
