I tried looking for a thread like this somewhere on this forum & I could not find it, so I will just start one here.

All I really want to ask for is for alternate controller options this time around on the Xbox 360. I really wanted to play the last Dues Ex on the xbox, but I found it difficult to play without my control style. What control styles am I referring to? You need look no further than alt-controls.com to find out what I am talking about.

Although I am sure that there are other names to these alternate thumbstick layouts, alt-controls.com refers to them as "southpaw", "legacy", and "southpaw-legacy" Please Eidos, it may seem counter intuitive to add these extra thumbstick options in relation to the functions of what the buttons do, but trust me, we will do just fine with these oddball control layouts.

Also I would like the simple option of inverting the thumbsticks.

Pretty please? :)

Sincerely

woknok

P.S. I use "woknokmokpok" as my xbox live username. Either somebody else is using the name in here or I assigned an e-mail address to that username years ago that I do not remember. Well, Im "woknok" in here now.

I think the whole game should be comfortably playable on a DDR mat.

I would like to see the "Bosses" and other augmented NPC to use their augmentations a lot.
For example: to make high jumps to reach better viewpoints, or doing heavy punches etc

I mean, it should not be like in DX1 when the bosses using healing aug and invisibility. Augs in this game must be more....... in your face :)

oh dear don't open this can of worms. We have mere seconds before this thread is noticed, and descended upon by the whirling sand-storm maelstrom of broken-dream hatred that beats upon our heels even now.

Ok ok, for real. I'm superficial: I want it to have a price tag of under $100, and come out at the same time as the american release.

(That's the average price for games in australia. And yes, our money is the same now.)

Yeah, simultaneous global release date please, I just hate that unnecessary three day gap, WTF?

Difficulty levels - a really hard Insanity level that you just scrape thru if you're very good.

replay value - quite a low level cap to make you focus on one gameplay style per playthru

Compelling story - Heroic, I know it might sound lame-o, but you'd want to feel like a bloody hero at the end of the game wouldn't you?

I want it to be designed as a multi-solution problem-solving game with a lot of tools to choose from while keeping all of them viable, and not just built as a general "binary choice" corridor like a lot of games employ choosing these days. And for the gameplay mechanics to actually work (hello, Alpha Protocol's hacking minigame on the PC). And a coherent and interesting plot. Other than that, it's just details.

How about sentries that don't walk the same path every time you start a new game?:hmm:

Localized damage with consequences. If you get hit in the arm, you cant aim so well, if you are hit in the legs you cant run as fast...

What I really want from Deus Ex is:

- nonlinear levels (multiple playthroughs/paths/solutions based on abilities, skills and your general approach)
- interesting branching story
- tactical, difficult combat

That's it, it doesn't even have to even be cyber punk, it doesn't have to even be Deus Ex ... These (above) things is what I really like in games
