Hey all,
Just finished some exams and thought i'd run through IW again.
This time however when i use the WASD or arrow keys to move it's as if Alex stumbles before running smoothly.
I can run around in circles at the same speed but if i stop & want to change direction it's not smooth at all. I do not think it is a lag issue as my system has run IW before fine. I was wondering if it's a key repeater damper or something...
Anyone heard of this happening before? I can't remember it being a "feature".
It's not that the game is unplayable but the system is a clean install since last time, has no game controllers installed, i've tried v1.0->1.2, running it on a single processor too does not work. I can turn on the spot with the mouse with no lag too.
EDIT: I've tuned the keyboard refresh rate to its max, delay to the min and even hacked the registry to up the speed - it's playable now but only just, plus i didn't have to do this last time. I've also made sure i'm not running any non-essential processes
Thanks in advance,
R
