Bullets coming from inside building?

Every now and then, i will be at a location of some sort in a fire fight and I will have enemies shooting at me from inside a building that is not accessible. I cannot hit them and they just keep shooting and i never see them. Has this ever happened to anybody? Is this just another glitch in the long list?

I've encountered this only once, but nothing 3-5 packs of C4 can't take care of :)
