Hey..

Ive got Win7 64 bit and I just uninstalled my game.

I sure did backup on saves but this save wasnt the save. it showed up it was the settings.

I need a save!!

AND i need to know where the saves files are located.

Mine were: C:\Users\User\Documents\Square Enix\Just Cause 2\Saves

and in here it was only JKSettings.

Omg... Can anybody help me?

for me the saves are here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\61820959\8190\remote

this game uses steam cloud so as long as you are using a legal copy of the game it should be loaded automatically

How can you play the PC Version of the Game without going through Steam? It auto-installs it via Steam and patches it and gives you all the extra content (free of charge or at least for me it did). I had no idea you could install and play games ( retail copies of Just Cause 2, The last Remnants, Order of War, Risen) would only let me play them through the Steam client and I had to have the Key Codes entered on their Client as well before it would let me play.

So how did you do it? Unless you purchased it via DL and it was not purchased via Steam I guess?

They are located in the Steam "userdata" folder. Once you're in there, it should be no problem.

If you don't use Steam to run JC2, you have a pirated copy of the game, and should leave.

If your copy is not pirated, then it is a steam copy. It does not matter whether you bought it on steam, in a store or off an e-tailer the game is steam works and therefore has to be registered to a steam account, and for steam to be running or you cannot play it. FULL STOP

I suggest you follow other peoples instructions as to find your saved games.

Eidos doesn't support a non-steam version of the game. 'Fraid you've got yourself a dud there.
