Directx Error 15

I just bought Juat Cause 2 for my son and we downloaded it, but when we try to play it we get: Fatel Directx Error 15!

I can't return it so I would really like to get it to work.

Please state what version of windows you are using, you need windows Vista or windows 7 and which video card. The video card MUST be able to support direct x 10. This can be found through the run program and then typing in "dxdiag"
